A Hidden Gem in Montréal – Cozy, Delicious, and So Charming! I stumbled upon Cote Café during a quick stop on my way through the Côte-des-Neiges area, and I’m so glad I did. This place is truly one of the cutest cafés I’ve ever come across in Montréal. Tucked away just enough to feel like a local secret, the cozy ambiance immediately drew me in. Warm wood accents, minimalistic decor, and soft lighting give it that perfect blend of modern and homey. You can tell a lot of care has gone into crafting the vibe. I ordered a cappuccino and it was fantastic. The coffee itself was rich and well-balanced, with a unique and refreshing layer. It wasn’t overpowering at all; just enough to make you stop and say, “Wow, that’s different – in the best way.” I also picked up a spinach danish roll, which was flaky, warm, and packed with flavor. It had just the right amount of filling and a buttery, golden crust that practically melted in my mouth. Fresh, satisfying, and clearly made with quality ingredients. The staff was friendly and welcoming, even though I was just popping in quickly. It’s the kind of place where you could just as easily sit for hours reading or working as you could grab something on the go. Overall, Cote Café has earned a spot on my list of Montréal must-visits. Whether you’re in the neighborhood or just passing through, it’s absolutely worth a stop. Highly recommend!

This is a quaint little coffee shop and cafe along Chem. de la Côte-des-Neiges. They have a few small outdoor tables only, you can do take-away as well. Cote Cafe opens early (6am to 6pm daily), making this a perfect stop for coffee if planning to walk up to Mont Royal or over to Saint Joseph's Oratory first thing in the morning. We stopped by around 6.45am recently, barista was ready to go, preparing a very good allonge and cortado, two of the best coffees we had during our stay in Montreal. Cinnamon bun served on the day was pretty good as well. Would happily return to Cote Cafe based on this very good experience.

I showed up in Montreal for a vacation on the day Cote Cafe opened. During my stay, I visited several times and had cappuccinos and flat whites. Each time, the flavor and temperature (ready to drink on the spot) were just right. Nothing exotic about the roasts - just a nutty/chocolatey flavor. No bitter or sour flavors at all. They don't really go for the elaborate latte art, but the drinks always tasted great. The baristas/owners are also enthusiastic and friendly. I'm sure this Cote Cafe will be a welcome autumn to the neighborhood. I'll definitely visit again next time I'm in Montreal.

What a lovely, lovely café! The space itself is so warm, inviting, and relaxing to the spirit. I was happy the customer before me took some time to give his order so I could take a moment to sit and just enjoy being in that space. It gave me time to look around and appreciate the ambiance. The super cute tables outside, the plants inside, the eclectic and grounding feel of the place just makes you wanna sit there, maybe read a book, and enjoy your coffee. The service was top quality. The only bummer to my experience is that the matcha latte was so good I finished it fast, ha! Will definitely go back and most definitely recommend! That café is a VIBE. Thanks Charles for the delicious beverage and for setting up such a vibrant...

June 12, 6:00am, First day open. Coffee is their business and they’ve got it right. Tiny place, great atmosphere. Bakery and sandwich products to follow. Looking forward to trying everything out.

Fast forward from June, 2023 to July, 2025. From the hanging plants to the coffee products to the food to the baristas to the customers to the owners to the coffee served - this place has far exceeded it’s potential as the best laid back vibe hangout in the city. You can’t do better. You’ll be treated well, served excellent product no matter what you order, meet really nice people (from everywhere), and enjoy this oasis of contentment on...
