I really wish I could give 0 stars. When you come and sit in a resturant you dont just come for the food especially if your visiting. We arrived to the resturant around 10pm and sat down ordered around 10:30 waiting for the employees to clean the tables which is fine its a rush, first come first serve for tables.

After taking another 30 mins just to take the order, the employee kept coming back with bad news, saying no fries, no kabobs (really?), no whole menu items we asked for, and that he would give us replacements for it. The replacement from chicken dishes was beef dishes (some of us were allergic to red meat caused us to have limited food to eat). The replacement to the fries were garlic potatoes (soggy and disgusting no one was able to eat it).

We waited another hour and Instead of being served seperate dinner plates per persons order we got served our meats in a plate and then were given plain white rice in another (not how the dishes were shown or described on the menu or given to other customers in the resturant)

This seems so bizaare but please look at the attached pictures.

Though we were dissapointed we just wanted to leave and get the night over with, an employee comes up to eat and he took the effort to buold himself a dinner plate like how they were suppose to give to our party, after seeing this it really broke us and showed that they just did not want to put in the effort to create different plates for us and instead throw them all together.

I understand places can run out of certain food, but main dishes during a saturday night just seemed like such surreal news, and they do not have any excuse to be making our dishes so poorly and taking 1hour+ to serve it.

if you were looking for a good reliable food place to eat at while travelling to Montreal please look else where, the reviews seem to show its a hit or miss and I got the miss and though they got $200 out of me they will never get my money again.

2 hours wasted and the mood for the night ruined. left most of the food as its not what we ordered and were just handed random food they felt was convenient for them.

Feel sorry for the employees who try to make this a good place to be ruined by chefs who cant do their...

Definitely 0 star not recommend at all I didn't enjoy at all

Worth service ever I saw in Montreal

I had a good experience with this restaurant, 5 years ago

but last weekend on July 2019 I went again, and it seems that management group has been changed, so there is not only slow and poor services, very poor quality food and cold and oily , but also rude manager

We ordered a plate of kebab with bread and they bring it after 30 minutes, kebab was placed on plate and bread on top, no tomato, onion or vegetable !!! no design nothing ; disrespectful service

when we spoke with manager, he came back telling me that vegetable is just come with rice and not Kebab!!! ridicules ... He did not only apologize but also when I told him I'll never use your restaurant again until you are manager here, he came back telling me that you better don't pass by because I am the owner !!! very bad experience, I wasted my time and money

Not recommended

In response to your answer we didn’t ask for free food , we even didn’t asked to speak with manager, it was your employee who told us to speak with you, because we asked for a plate exactly whatever was showed in the picture, and we didn’t get the good service, moreover they brought it after 10 minutes not 20 seconds in all restaurant plate is coming with vegetables, maybe you never went to other restaurants.... in fact after we told you we are unsatisfy from service, as a manager you have to apologize customer but you were rude and this attitude is not acceptable in Canada....

I don’t recommend this...

I recently had the opportunity to dine at Château Kabab (Downtown), an establishment known for its Iraqi and Persian cuisine, particularly their bargh kebab. Unfortunately, my experience fell short of expectations, and I must say that the food was not up to par compared to other places I have tried before.

🍽️ Mediocre Food Quality: The bargh kebab, which is often touted as a highlight at Château Kabab (Downtown), failed to impress. The flavors were underwhelming, lacking the depth and richness I have come to expect from this dish. The meat itself was not as tender as I had hoped, and the overall presentation left much to be desired. It was disappointing to find that the quality of the food did not match up to my previous experiences at other establishments.

💁‍♂️ Regular Service: The service at Château Kabab (Downtown) was adequate but unremarkable. The staff seemed disengaged and did not go out of their way to make the dining experience memorable. While they took our orders promptly and delivered the food in a timely manner, there was a lack of attentiveness and warmth in their service. It felt like a run-of-the-mill dining experience without any standout moments.

Overall, my visit to Château Kabab (Downtown) left me disappointed. The food quality, particularly the bargh kebab, did not meet my expectations, and the service was average at best. I have had better experiences elsewhere and would hesitate to recommend this establishment for those seeking an exceptional Iraqi and Persian...

After first trying Chateau Kabab in West Island a month ago and loving both the food and service, we decided to try the downtown branch. I really wish we hadn’t come here. We ordered kebab koobideh which was really good and tasted just right in terms of quality and seasoning. We also got the jujeh kabob (chicken seen in pics). We were somewhat very disappointed. First and foremost the salad that was served was smothered is so much white sauce that it was essentially not very edible. It was a Saturday night and extremely busy. Then when the chicken dish arrived, it was completely burnt, dry and tasted bitter. We let our waiter (who was not very friendly) know, he at first did not really agree with us. Then he took the plate downstairs and returned within a few minutes and added a few more chicken that was cold and seemed like it had been sitting somewhere. They didn’t even bother replacing the whole plate which I found very unusually for busy restaurant. We did mention this to the cashier who was very polite about it (refunded part of the order) but left hungry and dissatisfied with the service and food.
