Do you want to support a business that puts their bottom line and self interest ahead of their patronage and customer comfort? Then this is the place to go. Were 3 people and the place wasn't full but they refused to give us a table which could fit us comfortably when many were available. Been many times without problems but makes no sense to be treated this way. The staff need better training in customer service. It's one thing if the place was full but it wasn't. Ended up at the el furnature warehouse where they treated us with respect which should not be hard to do. Service like this makes me believe it's sometimes acceptable to not give a TIP at all.
IN RESPONSE TO THEIR REPLY: I've been eating at your establishment for multiple decades and this never happened. If we were to come in as 3 separate people we would have used 3 tables outside. If we were to come 2 people and then 1 person we would have used 2 tables. It just makes sense when every other person on the terrace was seated comfortably you would seat us comfortably also. You were very polite about the situation and said bye to us (it was clear you were happy we were leaving) but we normally order multiple plates each and there just wasn't enough space for us and I did try to mention that but for some reason it was too much. The inside of the resto was empty and there were multiple tables finishing up outside which included two tables that were already free of people. We even asked to be split to separate tables which would have solved the problem and that wasn't good either which is a clear statement that you really didn't want us there. I know now to always say I'm 4 people if I'm 3 in places so I guess I learned a good lesson from this situation and if you continue to accept this from your staff eventually your restaurant...
Read moreterrible experience here today for lunch. i’ve been coming here for years and decided to bring my friends from out of town to enjoy this restaurant that’s usually lovely. from the jump we were told by the hostess that we weren’t waiting in line in the right spot (after already giving our names for the table) & we waited over thirty minutes for our food. when the food got to our table, the sandwiches were all wrong. mine was supposed to be a cream cheese sandwich and there was none, my friends was supposed to have ham and she received chicken, and then the sauce on my other friends was wrong and she didn’t get the pesto she ordered. i then bit into my sandwich and chomped down on an olive pit- and i broke my permanent retainer. when the sandwhiches were wrong, we told the waiter and they came and switched them out- telling us our sandwiches went to the wrong table. when i told the waitress i bit into an olive pit she just said « well inform the olive company » and didn’t even apologize for the mess ups in any capacity. when the bills rolled around, we decided not to tip, as not only were our order wrong- the women servers were all incredibly rude to us. (our male server was kind.) we were then told to « never come back » to which i went and spoke to the woman at the front and kindly explained to her the reason we did not tip and that it was not to be unkind, but it was due to no one taking any accountability. she then said « you’re rude and get out » and i said « wow », and she went « wow, wow, yea, get out, bye bye! »
if i could this place a zero- i would.
if you feel like being abused and yelled at- this is the...
