Cora was a nice breakfast restaurant with sweet memories for our family but today we realized that we will never visit it again. It’s been a long while since we visited Cora because of other new breakfast restaurants around us. Today we decided to go for Cora to relive some good memories and enjoy a family brunch in where used to be a place with delicious hearty meals and a vibrant setting with many visitors. The food “steak lover..” was a cold meal with few strings of steak, one tiny slice of mushroom, topped with cheese and an egg, the few basic fruits looked old and welted, and the salad on the side was a half a palm size shredded lettuce with some dried cranberry and small slice of strawberry on a coaster size dish. The other smoked meat wraps plate was filled with a large portion of fried potatoes and two wraps with some kind of thick crepe folded twice to make an illusion of good sized sandwiches only filled a very thin layer of smoked meat and egg! I don’t have nothing to say about the waffle platter there is nothing to go wrong with doing simple waffles anywhere. An almost 80$ bill for a food that fails to compete with cheap breakfast options in Tim or McDonald! Cora has definitely lost its quality, so sorry to see a pioneer breakfast restaurant to reach to...
Read moreI was very disappointed with the service i received today along with a friend of mine. Usually when i come to Cora for breakfast, i have a wonderful experience but our server today by the name of Martin was unprofessional and rude for no reason. My friend who is vegetarian ordered the same dish that she usually orders "Spinach and Cheddar Omelette" and he was trying to convince us that she ordered the "Western Cheddar Pancake" and telling us that we were wrong and he's right. First of all, we didn't accuse him nor put any blames towards him because we have worked in restaurants and know how to politely take care of these types of situations. Also, we spoke calmly and weren't angry at all. She simply just told him that there might had been a misunderstanding on the orders. He got defensive and started to be rude towards us and handled it not in a professional way which made us very uncomfortable because we told him politely. Also, he barely came to check on us to refill our coffees and didn't bring the water that my friend had asked for since the beginning when he asked what we would like to drink. i was not pleased with the service i got today and he made me feel very uncomfortable which also ruined my appetite and energy there....
Read moreI wish there were an option to rate 0 star to this Cora location. We had a horrible experience at this location. Here is the story: We visited the place with my service dog. The waiters were extremely friendly and politely asked if the dog is a certified service dog and then let us in. They sat us in a designated table for people with dogs (I guess it was placed far from the rest of the customers). We ordered and while we were waiting for our food, a person who identified himself as the manager showed up and asked us to leave. He arrogantly mentioned that MY FAMILY OWNS THE BUSINESS and I want you to LEAVE. I showed him the proof of certification and he said I HAVE ALREADY CANCELLED YOUR ORDER. I have been to over hundred restaurants and never been denied any service. He could at least politely apologize and ask us to leave but he was very rude. His reasoning was that he is an emotional support dog and not a service dog. However, my proof clearly stated that he is a service dog. I was a regular Cora customer in Toronto but I will never ever go back to any of their locations. Meanwhile, I am filing a complaint with the commission des droits de la personne et des droits de...
