Beware - Unethical & Dishonest

I ordered a duck fried rice for takeout which was subsequently returned to the restaurant for credit. The restaurant staffs indicated it would be removed from the hotel charges.

Upon check out the charges were still there.

The restaurant manager denies the meal was ever returned and refused to investigate. The hotel is unable to removed the charges placed by the restaurant leaving myself the customer to pay for a sub par meal

The meal was picked-up via take out. Unlike a restaurant meal where one tastes the meal and then pays at the end. Take out means they have you at their mercy as you have already paid.

Once back in the room I ate some of the rice and cut the duck leg open to find no meat and just grizzle.

I brought the meal back through the hotel into the restaurant where two staffs were notified and after the discussion the male staff member agreed to credit my meal back to the hotel account!

However the restaurant manager refuses to acknowledge the meal was returned

The restaurant manager refuses to check the hotel and restaurant camera’s to see who I spoke with and talk to the staffs involved!

The restaurant manager has unilateral denied the meal was ever returned and he has the power to keep my money and he will – no further discussion.

As a result I will no longer stay at this hotel as they allow false charges to be placed on the hotel bill and refuse to become involved in resolution.

And it is a no brainer that I will never be partaking of this restaurants custom no matter what in the future.

A restaurant that does not stand behind its food and then calls the customer a liar while refusing to investigate clear and conclusive evidence is a menace and disgrace and I happily wash my hands of this blight to the...

Don't bother without a reservation, they will seat you like an inconvenience. Took my mother there in light of MTL à Table on a Tuesday night around 18:30, we were given the "table" right by the entrance screen that only had one sad run-down chair before the waiter who saw us went to get another from a busy table, after clumsily trying to cobble the two tables pictured together as if it would make for a proper set. There were 2 vacant two seat tables by the window panes before the bar, but allegedly they will be occupied within the hour and he "didn't want to inconvenience us moving us mid-meal". It took my asking for the waiter to inform us of this and move us to the bar seats that had much better lighting and atmosphere, which also had more than enough space to accommodate us when we first arrived. Those empty tables I saw when we first stepped in remained vacant through most of our stay there, only by the time we were finishing our desserts a bit before 8 did I finally see them both occupied.

Food was okay, my mother seemed to have liked it enough. We had to ask for water refill three times, at least it was easy to do so by the bar. I can't imagine how much worse it would have been if we stayed swept away forgotten in the corner right behind the entrance screen. Overpriced fare was expected especially as I'm aware MTL à Table is also a tourist event, but after this experience and knowing the large amount of Asian options in Downtown Montreal as a local, I can easily live without ever coming back again outside...

I have booked this restaurant for a group of 38 people with lots of allergies. I have asked the restaurant whether we should pre order, considering the number of allergies. I was assured that it’s not a problem at all and they are able to accommodate us and have experience with larger groups. Lo and behold, on the day of the event i start getting anxious calls from my colleagues who came to the restaurant early only to get a message that our reservation was cancelled. I don’t know what happened and why they decided to cancel on me; it is impossible to find a place last moment, so we decided to stay. Needless to say food options for allergic people were extremely limited. We do similar events many times throughout the year and didn’t have issues like this before with other restaurants. We got low score for the food organization so i am passing this low score to the restaurant who was at the heart of the issue. No one apologized to me or offered any kind of compensation or even a bottle of wine. Not a way to treat good customers, who book ahead, respect the reservation and leave $$$$ at your establishment. Will...

I went in expecting an overpriced Eurocentric take on Asian cuisine and it felt slightly short of my expectations. Atmosphere was very nice, but décor was all over the place in terms of culture and service was a little slow even though the restaurant was near-empty. I got the braised pork bao, it was flavourful with sharp mustard greens cutting through the fatty pork belly, but the skin was a bit tough. Peking duck was interesting; thick-cut duck with standard Peking accoutrements over a bed of salad with a side of rice. I wasn't a fan of the sauce, it was cloying, the crepes were tough and chewy. The duck was cooked well and had a slight game flavour. I don't believe the salad was Asian-inspired, but it was enjoyable. The pad Thai was okay-tasting, but it had undertones that made it disgusting. The nest of raw bean sprouts on top lacked thought, it was not like the residual heat from the pad Thai would cook it. There's more fried tofu than chicken in the chicken pad Thai, and though I don't mind exorbitant prices, I do mind when restaurants stiff me on ingredients. Peanuts were gentle and fragrant.

This place, like any other place downtown, could have taken a "one-time customer" approach and treat you like a one-time deal!!! Right? No!!! Unlike what one would expect ... here, you are treated like family! You will feel right at home, in your preferred diner in your hood, being in your element, and having a good time! It blew my mind to see, feel, AND taste the difference on my debut visit today, and I'm already planning more visits. This place is one of the best kept secrets in town. To spell it out, the food was fresh, outstandingly presented, and authentic. The service ... like I said, the crew made me and my guest feel like family ... everything felt special. The atmosphere, nice and inviting. It's like sitting in a hidden spot and watching the life happen right outside the window ... what else is there to say! Kudos to the crew, the chef, and the mastermind behind all this.
