Definitely one of my favorite for this class of restaurant.

I'm not sure what happened: last time I checked, the restaurant was above 4.5 stars, and now it's 3.9 stars. 😬 The two experiences I had in this restaurant were significantly closer to 4.5 stars than to 3.9.

First, the food is very good. I had "ris de veau" the first time and "Saucisse de Toulouse" the second. I also took the cheese for "desert" and I took "Entrées" each time, although I can't remember what I chose. Then the ambiance is awesome. One thing that I appreciate is that there is "a lot" of space between the tables: you can actually move your chair! This might seem like a funny thing to notice, but this is very rare in downtown Montreal where "space" cost a lot of money. That being said, the ambiance is not only about space: the design of the restaurant is also very sophisticated. Finally, the service was also good. I remember that the second time I went, the waitress seemed a bit stressed (maybe that was one of her colleagues that didn't show up that night 🤷), but she was still very good and professional.

Regarding the prize, of course, I'd like to pay less, and I don't want to encourage the owners of the restaurant to raise their prize if they read this review. 😆 That being said, I don't know any places where I could get this kind of food, this kind of ambiance, and this kind of service for a prize which is...

This was quite an experience to say the least. At a late night reservation, first thing the waiter says when I sit down, that half the menu is not available. Like how do you not even have mashed potatoes to go with the dishes it’s meant to come with? Honestly I felt embarrassed for the restaurant. When asked if something happened with the kitchen or whatever, one of the waiters gave us a roundabout answer and should have just owned up to their mess ups. This is probably one of the most memorable experiences I’ve had and not in a good way. I’m still confused as to what happened that evening. Everything felt extremely slow. It didn’t look like they were understaffed, it felt like it was a lot of these waiters first time working at a restaurant. Very weird experience, so much so that my friends really wanted to just leave and pay their bill without even getting dessert. Food tasted good, but nothing to brag about like one of the other reviews mentioned. You definitely won’t be seeing me at this establishment again and it turned me off about the idea of visiting their flagship restaurant Mousso in the future. Quelle...

This was my regular restaurant in the past year, every time I visit Montreal. I travel to this city 6-7 times a year. My recent visit to Le Moliere was somewhat disappointing. Starting with the service which I believe was mixed and at times, the waiters were confused withe delivery of dishes/entrees. Example: they came to our table with some else order. It is to mention, that most of the appetizers on the menu were not available that evening including some of the entrees. WHY??? As for the bill, it was incorrect and we had to inform them that the wine orders were not included. (one has to be honest) -- I ordered the onion soup. It arrived somewhat warm but more on the cool side. The pastry dome makes a great presentation, however, the soup was a disappointment. Lack flavor and it was more on the creamy side.Truly tasteless! My main dish was very good as it was delicious mash potatoes and Boudin. Sauce was tasty filled with flavor. The atmosphere was noisy but tolerable. For the price one pays, The event was really not worth the money. A disappointment and I sincerely doubt I...

Molière clearly has a ton of potential. The service was great in most aspects, and the drinks and decor were outstanding. However, we found the menu was aiming a bit too high and was, in some spots, borderline unintelligible. Our waiter could barely explain some of the dishes. Most of the mains, including the chef's choice cut with pepper sauce and the Rossini-style filet, were spotless. The burger on the other hand had a crumbly meatball-like texture and could have been offered with an option of lettuce/tomato as there were zero greens inside. The truffle toast was quite bland and tasted almost exclusively of butter, and the celeri-rave entrée was swimming in mayo and needed a bit more seasoning. I was also surprised to see the beef tartar (while very tasty) arrive at the table without any crackers or croutons. The waiter did bring bread to the table but it was somewhat thick and hard and wasn't well suited to accompany the tartar. All in all, I'm certain that this place could become a staple of St-Denis street if they fine tune some of their menu offerings.

Just an ok experience on a saturday evening with a group of 11 people. The atmosphere is great, nice ambiance. About the food, the mushroom soup and the onion soup are pretty tasty. But the rest of the meal is just okay. I am disappointed that the beef tartare tastes blend even if we requested for elevated taste! The caubillaud was also blend commented by my friend. It’s a french brasserie, these classics should be better than that. Moreover, the service is average. The service was very long. 3 hours for 2 services, with some errors made by the waiter. The waiter was maybe distracted… or new to his job… he refilled water in a cup of gin tonic!!! It is the same type of glass than the water glass, which can make it confusing… but still. There was actually a lime in the cup!!! One of the starters dish didn’t came, so we cancelled as we were receiving the main course. And one of the main course didn’t came at the same time as the rest. On side dish was forgotten. The bills were confusing with errors… not sure if will go back to this restaurant.
