The cutest Korean cafe! We were looking for brunch and this happened to be close to the place we were staying at. We were looking for a home cooked meal as we had been eating out and this hit the spot. It’s run by a really cute owner. We got the chicken katsu with apple curry. It may sound like a weird combination but the sweetness of the apple was a really nice touch. It helped balance out the oiliness of the cutlet. The Korean fried chicken was battered nicely with a beautiful tartar sauce that paired really well. The breakfast sandwich was also really good. The atmosphere of the cafe is really cozy.

I know inflation is bad but price/quantity wise, really not worth it (personally, you can go try & make your own opinions). For example, that japchae is 18.99$ and we literally got two chopsticks scoops each and the plate was empty 😅. Also, the rice cakes are definitely not the fresh ones. Taste wise, there was nothing really impressive. It’s not “not edible” but for the prices you’re paying, there are better options out there. Staff was really nice though. As usual, go try & form your own review. Everyone has their preferences ✌🏻

How did this place have such amazing reviews? The food was below average, even the food at the food courts in the malls are better... Response to owners message: We were hungry and wasting food is not something I like to do, especially when paying for it. I didn't say the food is disgusting, I just said it's not that good. Does not taste like authentic Korean good. I've had better korean food at other korean restaurants.

Unassuming little Korean restaurant/coffee shop with a great menu where you can find from your traditional local pastries, coffee and sandwiches to a rather rich, beautifully unctuous Korean menu that includes perfectly prepared glass sweet potatoe noodles with kimchi and eggs, a well balanced, amazingly tasty smooth beef bibimbap with a side of Korean style rice and fresh vegetables on a perfect balance of quantity, aromas and taste, I must say that even offer traditional Western dishes are prepared with dedication and love, meaning awesome flavors!

Service is diligent and super friendly, the owner and evidently chef is attentive to their clientele, which evidences a love for her "métier" and satisfaction of their clientele is at the heart of their little yet punchy restaurant.

A must visit while at NDG, or may I suggest, a good reason...

Came in on an afternoon walk and decided to try something new. It was my first time here, and I was greeted warmly from the woman at the front. I decided on the Americano, which was fragrant and delicious - even after it turned lukewarm hours later (the large size is impossible for me to finish quickly!) Overall, it was a really nice experience and the service was so friendly! I'll definitely be back to try some of their food items. Sometimes I wish there was a Starbucks close by in the area, but now I'm glad there isn't because we can support small businesses like Mate Latte. Give them a try if you're in NDG craving some...

What a disappointment! I was looking forward to trying this place and it was a very underwhelming experience. After more than 30 minutes of not getting our food or coffee, we went up to ask politely. We were told it was coming. After another 20 minutes (by then, almost 1 hour), still without coffee or food we reminded them about our orders once again. It was like they misplaced or forgot about it. Our food came, with a minimal apology . Our eggs and bacon were over cooked and the potatoes were undercooked. I can understand that mistakes happen but no compensation was offered at the cash. Terrible...
