Small cafe with good food! Laptop friendly. Great brunch sandwiches.
Mintar is a charming little cafe that's perfect for anyone looking for a cozy spot to enjoy some tasty food. They offer a delightful menu of sandwiches, smoothie bowls, salads, and pastries. I tried the chicken sandwich, which was absolutely delicious. The bread was perfectly toasted, adding a satisfying crunch to every bite.
The healthy green smoothie was refreshing and just what I needed. It was well-balanced and flavorful, making it a perfect choice for a quick, nutritious option. I also tried their latte, and it did not disappoint—smooth, creamy, and just the right amount of espresso kick.
The cafe itself has a welcoming atmosphere with about six tables that seat two people each, plus a large table on a mezzanine level that can accommodate 8-10 people. It's a great spot to work or study, as laptops are welcomed here, and several people were quietly working during my visit.
Overall, Minar is a gem of a cafe that offers great food, a cozy atmosphere, and a friendly environment. Whether you're looking for a quick bite or a place to relax and get some work done, Minar is definitely...
Read moreIt is easy to think that a trip to get important documents in order is an unsurmountable task. However, I decided to make the most of my plight by visiting as many cafés as I could during my 3-day trip to Montreal.
During my first trip, I got the Sous Marin L'Omelette (transl. Omelet Submarine) and the Healthy Green Smoothie (the café's signature smoothie). Combining the flavors of egg, onions, peppers, caramelized mushrooms, mozzarella, and spicy mayo, the omelet was fluffy and tender, with a slightly creamy texture. Washed down with a green smoothie, it made for a perfect breakfast as I geared up for a long day organizing my documents! However, the second time I went there was the true highlight! A heavenly peach mango smoothie bowl that combined the sweet flavors of two of my favorite fruits, combined with an iced matcha latte with vanilla syrup - the meal felt like a droplet of heaven while I sat in a quaint café in a picturesque town. C'est divin! Should you find yourself in Montreal, I would highly recommend a visit.

Read moreThis review is strictly based on the interaction/service only. I had walked into Mintar to meet a colleague who had already ordered their coffee, I wasn’t going to order anything as they were closing in 10 minutes and I didn’t want to be “that person”. As soon as I walked in, one of the employees immediately gave me a very rude look and proceeded to make it abundantly clear that they were closing. Once again, it was only a meeting point for my colleague and I, and I had gone inside to get him, nothing more. As someone who has worked in the service industry, I know it can be frustrating and customers can sometimes be a pain to deal with, however, I don’t believe it’s adequate to project that onto people undeserving of it. Unfortunately, my colleagues and I will not be returning and have elected to meet and get...
