Satay du jour - super juicy and tender chicken, could really smell marination and the grill all smoldered together in the meat (MUST ORDER!)

Steam Bun - wow. tender, juicy, caramelizing sauce, with a touch of fatness of the pork, it’s one of the best Asian burgers out there (SHOULD ORDER!)

Papaya Salad - too bland. Lacks taste and could do more with flavoring, but can still be refreshing.

Laksa - #1 best seller, curry’s a bit too mild

Yep, gave overall. 4 star cause this. Portion and price don’t collaborate too well. For a street food at a market, 3 small sticks of chicken for 8$ just doesn’t really do it justice. But if value isn’t really a big deal for ya, just skip this criteria!

OVERALL: small portion but...

I've been coming here on and off since the place first opened, though it's been a couple of years since our last visit

We had an average experience this time around. The pork buns were tasty, with a generous slice of pork belly, though the buns were a bit dry.

The Laksa, normally a specialty, was decent too, but not with nearly as much depth of flavor as it used to have.

The papaya salad, though, was honestly the worst I can recall having anywhere. Tasted overwhelmingly of preserved/concentrated lime juice and citric acid, with very little other flavor to balance it out. Really kinda shocked by the corners cut here.

Service as was nice and quick, and the setting in the Atwater market is what its always been -...

Rainy day but the vibe was still lively. 2 bao buns with pork belly and a house lemonade - $25 + tip. The lemonade was delicious but the cup was filled with 3/4 ice. The 2 buns were $17 so you can figure out about how much the juice was. The food was not as good as the juice but they only gave me about 125mL of juice. Service was functional. The guy taking the order had zero charm. I would go anywhere else in the market food court in the future. Overhyped and way too expensive. $17 for two little buns with a slice of pork belly! I was expecting something out of this world delicious but it was very underwhelming. The pork was stringy. If not for the little bit of fat, the whole thing would have been a huge...
