“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Chakhna and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish! The moment I walked in, the warm and inviting ambiance set the tone for an authentic Punjabi feast. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure that every detail of our meal was perfect.
The food was the real star of the evening. Each dish was bursting with flavor, from the rich and creamy butter chicken to the perfectly spiced chole bhature. The naan was fresh out of the tandoor, soft on the inside with just the right amount of crispiness. And the lassi – smooth, refreshing, and perfectly sweet – was the best I’ve ever had.
What sets this place apart is their dedication to authenticity; every bite takes you straight to the heart of Punjab. Whether you’re craving classic favorites like paneer tikka or looking to explore something new, the menu offers a wide range of mouthwatering options for everyone, including vegetarians.
Overall, Chakhna is a gem for anyone looking for an exceptional Punjabi dining experience. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting a taste of true Punjabi hospitality and flavors. Can’t wait to come back for more!”

Read moreComing to this restaurant was one of our highlights in Canada!
My partner had never been to an Indian restaurant out here before, and so as we came from Niagra Falls on Canada side, we explored this beautiful restaurant.
The food was delightful, and the compassion, love, and genuine warmth was lovely to experience and present in each bite.
When we arrived, my partner and I were asking what kinds of dishes they would suggest. We shared our food preferences, and Komal and Kiran made specific recommendations for food that might be lovely for our palettes. When we were asking about desserts and our love for mango, but wanting her to try the falooda for the first time, they encouraged us to try the delicious rose falooda, which was such a delight!
I haven't had such good Falooda since I was in Edison, New Jersey made by my friend's mom in undergrad-- it reminded me of home.
The rowdy chicken burger, butter chicken momos, and paneer rolls were savory delights, and the masala chai and rose falooda sweet bites of heaven.
But most of all, the kind appreciation, attentiveness, and warmth -- Komal and Kiran genuinely enjoying us enjoying their food -- made this first meal in Canada beautiful for us.
Thanks!!!

Read moreThe manager / owner whoever runs this place needs to do a better job in running the business. On a Saturday when more than usual customers are expected, the restaurant had just 1 staff to take orders, cook, serve and not sure what other responsibilities the poor girl had to take care of. Ordered panner and chilli chicken rolls, Pav Bhaji, fried and tandoori momos and chai. Got the order after waiting for over 40 minutes. Food didn’t taste good either. Maybe there’s no cook and that one staff managed whatever she could. Appreciate her for her efforts. Whoever the manager is needs to step up and learn a lot. It’s wrong to burden one person with 5 tables of waiting customers. None of them seemed pleased with wasting their time here on a weekend. A restaurant needs a team to run efficiently not just 1 helpless girl struggling to keep up. Hope she’s getting what she really deserves and that would be a full teams pay. Advice- hire more staff and improvise on the recipes so that customers are happy and they...
