★☆☆☆☆ (1/5) One of the most disappointing dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. Our group of 10 visited with high expectations, placing an extensive and diverse order — multiple soups, appetizers, mains, biryani, breads, noodles, drinks, and desserts. Despite the variety and the fact that it was a large bill, the service was shockingly slow.
It took over 1 hour and 20 minutes from the time we ordered to finally receive all items. Dishes trickled in randomly, with long gaps in between, making it impossible for everyone to eat together. When the food did arrive, the flavors were flat, lacking the authentic taste and freshness you’d expect from a restaurant at this price point.
What made the experience even worse was their mandatory 15% gratuity policy for groups — in our case, about $45 automatically added to the bill. We had intended to leave zero tip due to the poor service, but their policy left us no choice. Good service earns tips — it should never be forced, especially when the service is this subpar.
For the price we paid and the patience we were forced to show, the meal was a complete letdown. There are far better Indian restaurants in the area that respect your time, deliver flavorful food, and actually make you feel like a valued guest. Sadly, Oh Bombay is not one of them — we will not be returning, and we do not recommend...
Read moreI recently dined at Oh Bombay, and it was a wonderful vegetarian feast from start to finish. The moment I entered, the warm aroma of spices instantly made me feel like I was in a traditional Indian kitchen. The décor was vibrant yet cozy, with a welcoming atmosphere that made the dining experience even better.
Their vegetarian menu is extensive, offering a variety of flavorful dishes from across India. I started with the paneer tikka, which was perfectly grilled, tender, and infused with smoky spices. The vegetable samosas were crisp on the outside and generously filled with a deliciously spiced potato-pea mixture. For the main course, I tried the dal makhani and chana masala—both rich, aromatic, and comforting. The garlic naan was fluffy, fresh, and ideal for soaking up the curries.
What impressed me most was the freshness of the ingredients and the perfect balance of spices—flavorful without being overwhelming. The service was equally commendable; the staff was attentive, friendly, and happy to guide me through their vegetarian specialties.
