July/August 2024 - After reading the most recent restaurant inspections from Alberta Health Services, I won't eat here ever again. -Food Safety records are not maintained and not updated to ensure its safe and sanitary operation and maintenance. -Operators were not maintaining adequate logs and/or record keeping to monitor the safety of the food processes being performed in the food establishment. Hand Sinks - The supplies at the hand washing sink are not in appropriate dispensers for use. Single use paper towel dispenser was empty - paper towel sitting on counter, potential for contamination. No handwashing liquid soap at another handwashing sink. Hand sinks do not have adequate supplies for hand washing. -Temperature Control - Meat that was just cooked and about to be plated measured to be at 51C. Please ensure meat is cooked / reheated to the cooking temperature - internal temperature of 74C for 15 seconds. Accurate temperature reading thermometer not available or used to read hot food temperatures. A probe thermometer must be made available and used to check internal hot temperatures to ensure food safety. -Functional thermometers are not available for monitoring foods during cooling, cooking, reheating...

I've tried many Pho soups in Calgary and have my favorites. Was in Edmonton on a cold winter night and felt like Pho was the best choice. I was blown away by the Saté beef soup! Never had I had such amazing, flavorful broth. The spice level was evident, but not over the top. The beef was sliced thin, tender and a decent amount. The broth and noodles/ veggies come separate but all fit into the broth bowl (barely) which is important for takeaway. Have been burned by hotel takeaway many times not including any utensils, I asked and was told by the very friendly gentleman that they were in the bag, along with napkins. He laughed that it would be hard to eat with your fingers. I got halfway through my meal and texted my wife that this was perhaps the best Sate Pho I've ever had. Still in awe of it post meal. I will be eating here every time I'm in the city for work. If this was close to home in Calgary, it would be a one in a week meal for sure. Keep up the great work, and support this gem Edmontonians!

Ps. I also ordered salad rolls which were above average, but pushed then away after a bite or 2 to make sure I had room for...

Overall, the food was just average, nothing special compared to any other Vietnamese restaurant out there. My complaint here is that I ordered salad rolls, the Asian guys argued that I ordered spring rolls which I really doubt since I can't eat anything fried as I have excess acid reflux. And that was not his fault. Never received a receipt. But I was told that I have to go back to exchange my order the same day if I return the next day. They won't be exchanging anything. I told them that I will still bring the rolls they gave me instead. I had no idea what the difference was, unless they are planning to sell it to someone else. ( I won't trust this place). Which will be a huge health issue. I mean I did not touch them, but should never resell food that has been out of the premises. The place was dead empty, and was dinner time, maybe if they have better customer service to retain new customers, maybe that would be different. I will never go back, such a hassle to drive back the same day. So I returned, still dead empty. They guy had a nerve to tell me to NEVER come back 😂😂😂😂😂. I see why they don't...

This place was phenomenal. My wife and I and 3 small children had supper here a few nights ago. We ordered the beef satay soup, spring rolls, 2 different noodle/veggie stir fry dishes, honey shrimp and ginger beef. To start, the Beef satay soup was hands down the best I've ever had, the spring rolls also excellent. Both noodle stir fry dishes were loaded with flavor and veggies and very clean tasting. We made rice wraps out of everything and what a delight to the palate. My favorite dish however was the ginger beef. It was reviewed as spicey and I was pleasantly surprised that it was, however it still could have been spicier for my taste, perhaps they could ask and spice it to order? You can tell all the ingredients were quality and no cheap oils are used in the cooking. The flavor is amazing in everything we tried. Even the kids enjoyed it, although even more so later in the hotel with the leftovers. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for good vietnamese food and will go out of my way to go back here in the future. Well done

*edited* The food quality and quantity has gone downhill. We went in person on March 17th for lunch & it was not busy. Very slow service and food was semi warm and less flavourful than previous orders/visits. We never received our bill and the table next to us had to tell the staff to come to our table. I tried a takeout order the next week and had the curry coconut chicken listed $15.99 online but charged me $21 at the till. Upon opening my container it had less than 1 inch of chicken & you can see through to the bottom of the container! No flavor and it was very unappetizing. We won't be visiting or ordering in the future. Save your money & time. 3 years ago- This is THE Vietnamese restaurant to go to on the west end. They have amazing beef satay soup, the papaya salad is divine, and their vermicelli color bowls never disappoint. Neither will you. Go

Quick service with nice variety of dishes to choose from. Food was acceptable but not my favorite. I prefer my soup hotter and noodles not so soft, but everyone else enjoyed their food fine. The salad was good but could use some additional texture and freshness; I missed the cucumbers or payaya other places usually include in this recipe. This appears to be a small family run business, possibly been here for a while. The decor is tidy and spacious but slightly drab. There are 2 older/senior adults doing everything upfront and possibly cooking as well. Kind and friendly and did everything in a very timely manner. The restaurant has lots of parking partially shared with the hotel immediately beside it.
