Oakville branch of a (to-be) home-grown Canadian chain (sister chain of the Danish Pastry House - the highly successful chain of bakeries) in the Greater Toronto Area)

This outlet, right in the middle of Oakville Place, offers decent Danish coffee and bakery items from the Danish Pastry House. Their food items are good (sourced from the DPH bakery on Cornwall in Oakville) and the coffees are made with Kontra beans (imported from Denmark).

Verdict: Undecided but give it the benefit of doubt. The jury is still out on this place (new chain and concept). Bear in mind Starbucks found it hard to make this location work and closed down after many years of trying!

My sister in law and I stopped here in to get some coffee in the middle of some pre-wedding fiasco. Honestly she was dealing with a lot. I’m writing this because someone needs to know about the how a 5 min stop to this location in the mall completely turned her spirit around. You truly never know what someone is going through. I work in customer service and I try to keep that in mind. The 3 employees working there that day (Massa Olivia Katie) deserve a raise for the amount of kindness they showed her on her wedding day. Thank you thank you thank you. I hope only good things every happen to them. I live in the states but I will come to this coffee spot every single time I come to visit them solely because of this 5 minute interaction. I hope they are recognized for this!

I liked the coffee, but I went there 2 weeks ago, ordered a flat white. The girl spilled a bit of coffee when trying to leave it on the pick up counter. She asked me if I wanted a new one, I said yes. (Obviously, you spilled my coffee, exercise me?) I ended up having a bit of milk refilled on top of the one she just spilled. I didn’t bother asking for another one cuz I’m in a hurry, but I won’t order any hand crafted coffee from this location any more. Although the original store on Cornwall is great.
