Jimmy The Greek — Restaurant in Oakville

I have been a customer of Jimmy The Greek for the past five years. I find the food very good, but there is something that catches my attention.

6 months ago They started charging for bags as part of a planet protection campaign, which I think is perfect. What I find absurd is that they continued giving out plastic bags and on top of that, they charged 10 cents per plastic bag. In other words, they are still harming the planet, but now you have to pay because they didn't offer the option of paper bags.

Now they are giving paper bags, but they are still charging for them. In other words, now you have to pay for a paper bag to advertise for them. Wow, what a business, right? Truly, from that point on, I have not gone to Jimmy The Greek anymore and I don't plan to go until they change this policy which I find abusive towards the consumer, where you have to pay for a plastic bag to keep harming the planet or a paper bag with their logo to advertise for them.

The positive is great food, my favourite place in the mall to grab lunch and the majority of the staff except one are excellent in customer service.

That brings me to the negative. I always eat at Jimmy the Greek and have never been treated with such disrespect. The one individual involved is a young Asian man with glasses. I asked the nice, polite young woman for an extra scoop of salad dressing and the man gave his co-worker a visibly dirty look that I could see ,so I assume others could as well. Then he skimped out on the potatoes and rice which are the cheapest part of the meal to purchase from sellers.

I’ve spent well over $40 this week alone and am a regular paying customer. Jimmy the Greek is always my first choice for lunch. It is a $12 meal I expect $12 portions, especially if I eat...

The worst jimmy the Greek I’ve been too I was trying to buy my son a chicken souvlaki meal and asked the lady to put the salad on the side as I always do, my son won’t eat it if he sees even one lettuce leaf touch his food. The lady begins to argue with me tell me I can’t get it on the side and if I do I’ll be charge for the meal plus the salad which would’ve made a $13 meal 22 which is ridiculous she kept saying shes been there for 20+ years. I didn’t understand what that had to do with me simply asking for the salad how I needed but I wasn’t in the mood to argue especially not in front my son I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone please take your money else where.
