Pita Lite Shawarma — Restaurant in Oakville

Terrible service. I ordered 2 chicken on the rocks and 1 coke can. Both the chicken on the rocks contained sauces that I did not ask for, the potatoes were missing and I never received the coke can. Right away I called and told them about the issue. The lady there, she said her name was Faram/Baram She told me that they ran out of coke and someone should have contacted me. I told her that nobody had called me at all and I was not informed whatsoever. I should also add, if you run out of an item, why not put another drink as a replacement if you are not even going to bother and call and inform the customer?Anyways, I also informed her about the potatoes missing and the wrong sauces. She said to call her back in 5 minutes because she is going to talk to her co worker. Right away this is extremely unprofessional. .I called her back after 5 minutes and asked for a compensation right away, when I clearly should have been offered one. She offered to give me potatoes if I ever come and stop by. She proceeded to say that her co worker said he put the correct sauces and added potatoes and was ready to end the call, and it seemed as if she was accusing me of lying. I told her I could send her a picture of my food untouched with clear indication that the wrong sauce was added and NO potatoes were there and she went on again to say "my co worker said he put the correct stuff in." She then hung up on my face. If the co worker is too lazy to call and inform the customer about out of stock items, of course he would lie and say he did everything correct to not get in trouble. This is one of my top Shawarma places. It was recently toppled from the first place in my books by another great eatery but it is a VERY close second.

The only place which serves scrumptious fried aubergines (or egg plant, or brinjal, or baingan - take your pick!) with shawarma! I was sceptical the first time I had it but it was the hook that keeps pulling me back to Pita Lite again and again.

Don't get me wrong - the shawarma in Pita, shawarma salad and shawarma plate with potatoes on the side are all very good - in fact excellent - but the fried eggplant is what makes it a unique experience every single time.

Everything is excellent - fresh salads and top notch choices of ingredients. The only gripe is that the servings depend much on the server and her/his mood. I have had instances when my meal was spoiled just because the serving person tried skimping on servings but mostly these are good folks. And with this quality of shawarma and that damn eggplant, I can’t hold my grievances for too long.

Pita Lite Shawarma at the Oakville Place Mall food court is great place for shawarmas and We had a great experience.

I ordered the chicken on rice, which was really delicious and came in generous portions at a great price.

I also tried the falafel plate, featuring three perfectly made falafel balls, paotaos, and a fresh salad.

The pricing overall is very reasonable, and the 10% student discount is a nice bonus.

The service was excellent, with a friendly and attentive staff making the meal even more enjoyable.
