barBURRITO — Restaurant in Oakville

Of the three bar burrito locations I've been to, this one (Oakville Place mall) by far is my favourite. They never refuse when I ask for extra lettuce, extra tomatoes, or extra sauce. Especially the sauce, I like my food extra moist, and they never pushed back or complained. They seem to want me to enjoy my food. I really appreciate that.

The atmosphere is one I like, because the food court is spaceious with lots of seating. IT doesn't feel claustrophobic or cramped. I like how it's not over air-conditioned either.

I'm editting this review 11 months later, to add that I still think this location is five stars. I still only eat take out (10-15 dollars) once a month as a treat for myself, because my budget is tight, so I really care about the food being delicious.

I am trying Extreme Chips for the first time just now, and they are way, way more delicious than I thought they would be! It makes me want to choose to come to Bar Burrito for my monthly treat, because they are so delicious. The freshness of the warm corn tortilla chip gives it a flavour and a delicate crunch that is SO much better than the grocery store. The flavourings of the Veggie Ground give a "warm", slighly spicy, umami flavour that is like a hug for my mouth. The sour cream and queso gives a luxurious mouthfeel. The green onions and tomatoes give this very, very "fresh" and bright flavour. The combinations of textures and flavours are so much more delicious than I thought they would be.

Once again, I love sauce, and this location always gives me extra sauce when I ask for it. It makes the food so much more delicious. This is one of only three restaurants that I will spend my monthly take-out treat on, because the food tastes so fresh and full of flavour here, and because the staff always is willing to give me extra sauce...

We arrived 8:05pm... They close at 9pm(at Oakville Place Mall). ALL the hotplates were already in the back of their store. We asked are you still open? The employee replied, "Yes .. And I just put the food in the back, now". So, my husband and ordered two of their burrito bowls. We saw the employee scoop the rice, beans, and the type of meats we ordered, into a plastic container? Then heard the microwave.?? (Huh)? *At this point we were hungry after having a long day. We had to go to the mall to exchange a tv electronic item at our cable provider. Being we hadn't had the chance to eat yet..we decided to go to the food court, after our exchange. And little did we know..we would be eating microwave heated food, which we could of done at home!

The center of the bowl was cool to warm. Had a couple hot spots.

My main complaint is.. I got the number of the owner from head office. I spoke to the owner and just wanted him to know my experience and was this normal to have the hotplate foods in the back at 8:05pm.. then microwave if needing to be served. Basically I got..no care.. a bunch of excuses and he even argued with me that couldn't of happened. I said, my husband and I and the other 3 people in line saw and heard it too.

I'm not calling for a free meal. I was only calling of my disappoint and wanted to know is this normal. Then at least, we will NOT eat...

I recently visited Barburrito and I have to say, it was an absolutely amazing experience! The food was fresh, flavorful, and made to perfection. I love how customizable the burritos are – I was able to choose exactly what I wanted, from the protein to the toppings, and everything tasted so fresh. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The portion sizes are generous, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. If you're in the mood for a delicious, satisfying meal, I highly recommend Barburrito. Can't...
