More like a -100 experience. Went to drive thru with my family and I today, before heading to the indoor playground nearby and was made to wait 23 minutes from beginning to end until we received our food BUT for the food we were provided; I did not ask for cheese in my burger due to allergies, actual allergies to dairy (not lactose intolerance, as there is a huge difference), I asked for gravy for my fries but it did not contain gravy, I ordered 4 apple pies, not 2.
The drive thru person was rude and my food did not come with a receipt, straw for my drink, nor napkins.
Not only is gas already super expensive but for my car, it’s even more and to be made to just sit there and wait while it is supposed to be a drive thru at a “fast food” restaurant is absolutely ridiculous!
When my husband and I requested to speak to the manager on duty, I was “at first” told that “she” is not available. However after reminding her that there is always a manager on duty or there is a supervisor duty that is to tend to irate customers and other restaurant issues and that if she is not available still, I stated that I would have no problem coming into the restaurant and waiting until she is ready to speak with me. She then eye rolled and went to get her.
Few minutes later, a woman, with blond hair, black top, pulled back hair, wearing a gold necklace, popped her head out. I asked her what her name is but she stated that it was none of our concern and if there’s something that I need.
I explained the situation as per the above and she asks me if she gives me my refund back if we can just leave cause they are short staffed.
I am beyond disappointed in the lack there of service that was provided there...

Harvey's used to be a great place to go with great food but that was before Cara foods took over (This is the same with all Cara owned restaurants) tonight we stopped into this Harvey's for dinner at just after 8 (store closes at 10) while ordering, my son went first, he had chicken strips and fries with a request of a chocolate shake. I am sure to most this is not a surprise but the shake machine was magically not working as per the norm, so no harm he had a soda. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich and poutine and my wife had a single original with rings. Unfortunately this is where we were told they were out of rings, so she settled for a poutine also. We then received our drink cups and went to fill them which is when we found out that there was no more diet Pepsi as the syrup was out and they did not have anymore of that either. As a consolation prize we received two warm bottles of pop. We left with our order and upon arriving at home a few minutes later we sat down to eat. The only thing that was hot was my son's chicken strips and I will leave it at that. Once finishing our cold burgers we moved on to our warm poutine with the still solid cubes of cheese curds. The gravy was very thin and tasted like water and the fries were disgusting. It is so sad what has happened to Harvey's and although I love that buffalo chicken sandwich I think my relationship with this food chain has...
Read moreLike the other reviews said, the service here is always extremely slow. Buddy and I went in the other day. First ones in at the start of the lunch rush. They only had two girls on the counter. One taking orders, and the other putting toppings out. Another one girl on drive-thru, and one dude cooking. We order, then had our burgers stuck under the heat lamp. Nobody tells us why. Apparently no fries were ready. We're waiting over 15min. A big group comes in. Staff proceeds to mix up everyone's order. Someone else got our food, so they had to make us new burgers, which we again had to wait for. Food was alright and the restaurant is clean, hence two stars, but the whole thing came off as pretty bush league. Looks like the two girls they had out front were handling a ton of Swiss Chalet orders as well. Staff seemed very frazzled. And it's not the first time we've had to wait a long time for our food at this location, despite just ordering the bog standard burgers. As someone who's both worked in fast paced retail, and now manages team resources, this is 100% a management issue. There's a ton of fast food competition in the area. Even the other Cara restaurants in the plaza don't have this problem, let alone the other chain burger joints. And if there are delays, just be honest about them instead of leaving customers standing around wondering what the heck...
