I saw on their website that there was a deal to get a free small poutine with the purchase of any pizza and thought I'd try them out. When I called it seemed like they were really disorganized... Other places will guide you through the order, but the person who answered the phone made this seem really awkward. I wanted a four topping medium pizza, but the only way you can do that is if you get a #4 and add another topping (+$0.95 for a medium). It seemed hard convincing the call-taker to understand this. I asked for the deal with the small poutine and exchanged my delivery information. The call-taker said no-problem and then hung up without telling me the total for the order.
The delivery wasn't too long for a Friday night, about 25-30 minutes. I'm pretty sure I had to pay for the poutine though. The driver charget me about $26, which seemed high for a medium ($14), and supposedly free small poutine. I guess the mystery delivery charge was $12 (though what they charge for delivery doesn't seem to be listed on their website anywhere)
The poutine was okay. It was in a round soup container, and the cheese was really stringy. I'm not sure if it was real cheese curds or not. New York Fries offers a better poutine though. Fortunately the pizza was mostly decent. Good crust, and decent toppings. Terrible can-sauce that tastes like the kind you get with those make-your-own pizza kits.
All-in-all, I probably won't order from them again, mostly on the basis of the abrupt service and ordering process, and partly due to the so-so...
Read moreThe phone attendant couldnt hear me very well as my walls are just awful for service. Although he was polite & attentive, to ensure he received the instructions for my order correctly. He answered annoying picky questions respectfully. Usually takes me about 10 to 15 minutes to get through questions & instructions although the gentleman was able to sum it up in 5.
Easiest order I have placed this year.
This not being my usual choice of pizza restaurant the service was great. 👍👍⭐
With prior ordering locations such as ginos or tonys pizza being awful customer service, thus the reason to switching.
NOTE to other business owners! I know you often prowl the review's of the competition. Well please take this as food for thought, your rude & possibly ignorant attitude on the phone is not appreciated. From the customers that provide the income that pays your cheques, we really do not appreciate the tone & disrespect you project during the phone call. Yes you do loose customers for acting so disrespectful!
(seeing as my review stated I had picky requests & questions. I know that can annoy busy restaurants. at that time I can understand a not so pleasant tone although that is not my norm. I just through that in there so people knew the extra...
Read moreI am EXTREMELY DISPLEASED with the customer service i received at the Bubba's near market square in Kingston ! I asked for two slices of pizza and a pop, but I wanted the slices seperated because one was not for me. I wanted parm on mine, my friend doesnt like parm, so seperate boxes would be prefered. First, they didnt give me the pop i paid for and when i reminded the woman, she was very rude in how she gave it to me.
They placed my friends pizza ontop of mine, coating his in parm, making it undesirable and not what he paid for.
When i went back to compain, she told me to give the slice they messed up back. I said no, i will keep this, you made a mistake and you will fix it. She said no, shes not going to give me a free slice even though she messed up my order !
Crust is dry, but they do give lots of cheese and tasty sauce. Id LIKE to go back and order pizza from there again but i am so unhappy with that woman's customer service skills that i didnt tip and I will never supoort Bubba's again I felt unwanted, rushed , and certainly not valued...
