Not a happy customer - ordered food from the HDH with my fellow co-workers. Called the order in from work around 9:30pm. I had 4 orders, 1 smash burger with specific toppings, 1 spinach dip that comes with pita, 2 orders of fish and chips. When I picked up my order, 3 of the 4 were wrong. 1 fish and chips take out tray with 1 gravy in it, no fish or chips. Spinach dip, was the same no pitas. Smash burger had none of the toppings as requested over the phone. I had to drive all the way back up to the restaurant and re-order the food. The manager on duty was not customer serviced at all with what I was requesting. My co-workers called the correct order in but I was told I would not get the burger as that's how it's was served but the charge on the receipt, "fully loaded" was for $3. I had to ask for tarter sauce as it was not in the first round of food we ordered. I demanded another burger at no charge and got it. The time it took to get all this food correct was insane. Lastly I checked the orders before I left and the Spinach dip only came with nacho chips and not pitas but I was not advised for this, rather felt it was sneaky. I am sorry that I tipped 16% on top of this order ($16.27) which came to $81.36 plus the tip, $ 98.63. In the end the manager on duty gave us 2 certificates, but we won't be using them. All orders should be checked before going out and he should of opened them up for me rather then me inspecting them. I highly doubt I will be back, sorry, used to spend a lot of time there in my early 20's but times have changed and so has...
Read moreWe came out for some drinks and dinner, got here, and had to pay a $5 cover charge for a pub, like what… on top of that, not a single table is available; I’m sorry, why am I paying $5 to wander around a pub with no redeeming quality? No, I can do that at McDonald's for free. Then we sat down after searching for a table; the server came over at some point, asked some of us for our order and left. She did not come back for at least 25 minutes (to be generous). I had to remind her what the rest of our group ordered for drinks and then asked if the rest of us could order. Time later, we got the pitcher of beer and some of the drinks, but there were no glasss for the beer for another 5ish minutes, and then some of our food came out. Once we got it, the food was delicious, no complaints, and there was lots of flavour. However, we had to wait again for salt, pepper and other condiments, and the chicken tenders came with salsa, not plum sauce. I was disgusted by how long it took for us to get a single drink or any opportunity to order something, especially after paying to get in and not having a table. Please do better; the food and atmosphere were decent; sadly, our experience was reunited in every other way. Side note: the live music was great!! Also, it was impossible to order anything for the rest of our time there. Will not return, and making sure we don’t let anyone waste...
Read moreI went on a busy Saturday night during two Canadian NHL playoff hockey games. I ordered two beers and the 🐔 wrap with a side of fries. It seemed expensive but let me tell you it was good. A lot of chicken wraps at other places tend to be soggy or dry, this one wasn't. The sound switched from tv to live entertainment and it got as usual too loud to hear anyone talk. Which is totally fine, the performer, a 🎸 player was pretty good I tipped him $10. My waitress was very nice as well.
The only sour spot was a girl (not a staffer) came up to me after I paid my cheque and was about to leave. She asked me if I was having a good time and I said sure. She asked if I'm a big country guy, I said no it's not usually my style but the people and the vibe is pretty good. She commented on if I knew the guitarist, I said no but he's pretty good then asked me about my living situation I said it was my hometown, but I don't go out here too much. She asked me how old I was. I said 25. She said you're old! You're too old to be here. I found it funny both because being the youngest in a large family that's a first, and secondly I don't know beyond a few obvious places what the scene or Target demographic for each place is like. It's a bit odd to be randomly interrogated by a patron on your way out. But I guess I now know, if you're 25 or over, don't come...
