We came here as we have heard good things. Unfortunately we did not have a good experience. When we walked in the staff did seem welcoming and pleasant but unfortunately we did not leave with a good taste in our mouths (figuratively AND literally) We ordered the lasagna. My wife ate half of hers while I had maybe 3 or 4 bites. I did not like it at all. We informed the waiter that I didn’t like my meal and asked if I could try something else. His response “you can, but you’re going to have to pay for it” I opted not to get anything else at that point and didn’t finish my meal. We spoke to who I thought was maybe the manager after about my dislike of the meal. Her response in summary “there’s nothing wrong with the lasagna. That’s how we make it, your wife ate half” and apparently our server had spoken to management but they weren’t willing to amend anything. And at that point staff appeared short and cold toward us. So we paid in full and left. We won’t be back. Windsor has great restaurants. Any time I have had an issue with my meal, the restaurants I’ve been to have been so accommodating. Maybe they have other food that’s good but I...
Read moreWent here for our anniversary dinner on Friday evening, it was very quiet in there at 6pm on a holiday weekend but that's ok with us. Nicole was very outgoing and funny, she was trying to convince us to come in and dine with them but little did she know we were already going to eat there. Our other server was also very friendly and polite and was a pleasure to be around. We had the meatballs as an appetizer and they were amazing, you get salad with your entree and for dinner I had the lasagna and I could only eat half. Was so thick and delicious in their homemade sauce. The prices are a little higher than some of the restaurants we normally visit but it was well worth it. Being our anniversary we decided to treat ourselves to a fancier dinner, like most would go to the keg. With tip and the meals and appetizers and drinks we left there at $100. We will definitely visit here again to try something else...
Read moreThere was nothing wrong with the service or the atmosphere. We were very excited to be there. We spend a lot of time downtown and were looking for a restaurant to call our regular place. We watched the owners drool over other patrons except for us because we did not like and did not eat the calamari. They treated us like we had insulted them. And they charged us for it. We eat out several times a week. We love to support local. The breaded calamari was not breaded - light or otherwise as it stated on the menu- chewy and very fishy. The chicken piccata was very good and the Caesar salad was perfect and fresh. The fettuccini Alfredo was runny and not buttery or creamy - no fresh or light pasta. I think the worst was our treatment...
