Went back for Christmas lunch. It wasn't busy. The server said we could sit anywhere. We sat in the room off to the side. She immediately took our drink order but 10 minutes later she hasn't returned. She came 4 minutes later. I was so apprehensive that our food would take forever. It didn't take long.
My drink order was Orange Creamsicle which was not on the menu but was recommended by the server as I wanted something sweet. My lunch date had espresso. He liked it and the presentation was beautiful.
We ordered the soup of the day which was bean and pasta soup and it was delicious.
I had the salmon dish and it was better than the last time. It wasn't salty; however, it was bit tangy.
Except for the delay at the beginning, it was a great experience.
This was my first review that I forgot to share.
Went there to celebrate my birthday with friends.
The atmosphere is nice. They managed to modernize the place while keeping the bricks from the Ye Olde Steakhouse.
They had a hostess seat us.
I asked our server to recommend a cocktail for me that was sweet. It was somewhat sweet but bitter when I swallowed it. I wasn't a fan of that. It was pretty to look at though. So much so that someone from another table saw it and ordered one.
The bread was made in-house and would have been delicious except it was REALLY salty. All of us at the table agreed. We thoighy perhaps it was that bach so we requested more bread. The server went to the back and came out and passed our table (even though we were by the kitchen) and went to talk to another server. We had to ask the manager to bring us more. It was the same result... salty.
My friend and I ordered the salmon. I had potatoes with mine and she had salad. The portion was really small. The salmon too was salty. I went home and drank about a litre of water because of the salt.
I had tiramisu and it was the only saving grace. It tasted perfect. Just the way I like it. There was something white beside it. I thought it was whipped cream. I still don't know what it is. It tasted like hardened whipped cream. I was too sweet so I didn't eat it. 😩
I work close by so maybe in the future I will give it a try again to see if it was...
Read moreWent here for a belated Valentine's date with my boyfriend. This was both of our first time there and we both loved it. I was a bit nervous at first upon reading some of the reviews but my boss said this is one of her fave restaurants and I have to agree, will definitely come again. The atmosphere was nice, we went early in the evening so there wasn't a lot of people and enjoyed a nice intimate setting. The reservation process was easy enough, you fill in a request online and the restaurant will get back to you to confirm your spot. The food was great, we didn't take any pics of the meals because we forgot but to start they provided their homemade complimentary foccacia bread with olive oil or a spiced oil, we also got the Mr. Harper meat pizza to share and I asked for parsley and arugula on top and they accommodated, for the main dishes I had the carbonara and my bf had the chicken cacciatore with potatoes, and for dessert i had a cappuccino and we split the tiramisu. The staff assisting us was very nice and checked in on us to make sure everything was to our liking. Great experience overall. I did want to say I noticed a lot of the lower reviews talked about portion size etc. and want to confirm for those wondering this is not a westernized Italian style restaurant you will not get a huge plate of mac and cheese here, this is an authentic Italian restaurant similar to what you would get if you were in Italy. I agree with some of the other reviewers it really did remind me of when I visited Rome a few years back, the food was very rich in flavours and even with the traditional portion sizes we ate a bit of everything we ordered and still left full and with leftovers for tomorrow. 5/5 recommend, thank you for a very...
Read morefirst time at Cucina 360, they did a wonderful job with the renos, place was really nice inside. Hostess was great and the busser girl was quick with water and focaccia for the table but the server could have been a bit better. She was really nice and all but just lacked experience coming from someone who was a waitress for 10+ years .. Didnt know the menu that well which is fine! ask the kitchen or whatever you have to do but lacked awareness of drink refills or checking in on us, my husband would have ordered wine with dinner but she didnt come to see how we were doing until he was 80% done his meal, never asked me for a pop refill. Mind you the food was great, calamari was fresh and perfectly breaded and fried, arancini was made authentic and flavour was great. Though the octopus was good, on the menu should of stated it was thinly sliced.. its a little misleading for the price if youre expecting a tentacle diced or even served straight up. I got the Carbonara which was 10/10 .. i switched up the rigatoni for the egg noodles and i think that really made a difference. The 'sauce' was on point and super authentic, hard to find carbonara made right in the city and ill def be coming back for that dish alone. I recommended Cucina to my inlaws who went the next day and also unfortunately had a bad service experience, said "no beverages and waited 25 min for bill". I dont believe it was the same waitress but maybe work on your service a bit more! i still enjoyed and...
