One of the BEST Chinese dinners I’ve had, which is quite a substantial statement considering I’ve eaten them majority of my life.
First off, please be mindful that the sweet hardworking man cooking, taking orders etc. is doing all of the work by himself. Therefore you may wait around 20 minutes for your order. HOWEVER - I can say with the utmost confidence - it is well worth the wait. Incredibly authentically Cantonese & HUGE portions for the price.
We ordered the beef & mushroom which was absolutely phenomenal; I could not recommend it more. Pairs well with their Singapore Noodle or a white rice which is more than enough for 2 people.
It seems they only do takeout, but you may be able to eat your takeout at one of their tables. Therefore, tip accordingly (:
All in all, I highly recommend anyone looking for some amazing Chinese food to choose Sunflower Chinese Restaurant.
(The food’s aroma was incredible; therefore, our meal was devoured before photos...
Read moreWent the other day to pick up my order around 8:15pm. I had ordered about 15 before arriving and the lady on the phone said it would be a 45 minute wait for my food. I decided to walk over to the restaurant because I was already on that side of town. Upon arriving I expected my order to be another 30 minutes which I was okay with. When I arrived they hadn't put my order in yet, I had to repeat my order to the waitress and explained that I had already made the order over the phone. The lady was very kind and seemed to be doing her best as she was the only waitress in the restaurant with 3 other tables on the go. I proceeded to wait an hour for my food which is why i am giving 3 stars. The food was okay I personally think the fried rice was bland but the veggies were good. The portion sizes are very large and the price is very good for what you get. They definitely need to hire more people to...
Read moreWalking along dt I randomly found this spot. So shocked its actually a Cantonese place! Do you have any idea how hard it is to find good Cantonese food nowadays? For cheap! I've tried their combo specials. Its a great deal for like 12 bucks, comes with egg roll(a bit salty for my taste), fried rice and meat and veggie. Try the lemon chicken. Tip ask for sauce on the side so its still crispy when you get home. The owner seems like a good guy and an honest hard working cook. He told me theres no AC in the kitchen and he's busy all the time, gotta feel for him. He's been doing it for years and the other customers i bump into inside seem to like it. So I've been coming back. If you are looking to try something different maybe give the Singapore fried noodle a shot or...
