The Backyard Patio Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Ontario

The service was horrible, there was myself my wife and our 3 year old , and 2 other people in the whole place and yet our server gave one of the worst interactions I've experienced in any kingston restaurant. No greeting, not polite or friendly at all, when we asked what they had for kids drinks she just said the non-alcoholic drinks are on the menu, we asked for milk or juice and were told she would see what she could do... the non-alcoholic options were beer,ginger beer, iced coffee, and red bull.... becuase those are great suggestions for a 3 year old. The food was alright, I'm assuming they make their own Cesar dressing which is great but whoever was making it today had far too much anchovies in it... litterally tasted strongly of fish. The only saving grace was that the drinks were good, and the rest of the cocktail menu looked like something we would want to explore however with how horrible our server was we just wanted to get out of there. Likely won't be back again, definitely didn't live up to the hype that we had heard....

It was a bad experience to never go again. The manager kicks us out.

After waiting more than an hour for the meal and one of the dishes arrived cold and flavorless, the waitress asked us if we wanted the bill twice, and we said no. Then the manager came (I don't know what) to ask again if we want the bill. At the insistence and uncomfortableness of the situation, we said yes.

After paying and continuing to talk, we ordered a couple more drinks and noticed that all the tables had candles except ours. So we had to request a candle in three opportunities.

It's not worth buying sangria it is 80% ice

The person who responded to the review, I don't know if they are confused or missing the truth to clean up the negative review. I've never been to that place. Only 1 of the 4 people who were there had gone on one occasion. They lack customer attention. They could take a course at least since an apology is not even read in...

Went to grab a drink and food tonight around 9. Unfortunately we never got food, because our server never came to check on us. About 40min later, and several attempts to grab workers attention, my fiance went up to the bar to ask. By then we were informed that they closed the kitchen. So if we had been checked on earlier we would have been able to have food. The main visibile reason for this (since it was empty) is that there was a table which had some of the servers friends at it, which he tended to diligently.....while neglecting us. Felt very ostracized here and unwelcome. Would not recommend. I would also like to mention my fiance was the only person of colour in the entire atmosphere, and due to the unwelcoming behaviours we experienced, we also speculate that our neglect may have been...
