While in Kingston, Ontario during a long tiring road trip (Boston-Toronto-Kingston-Montreal-Boston) I picked my kids from the University and went there for a quick lunch, the time I wanted to spend with my kids with peace of mind. After couple of interactions with the owner who happened to be serving that day, I suddenly lost my appetite because "I didn't know how to order" from their new menu, Darn! Unfortunately I am still trying to learn how to order at Works restaurant and taking coaching classes. Before I lost my appetite, I ordered a beer, and both kids ordered something else. Later the owner said they will take care of the bill and we don't have to pay for the food "and Alcohol?" Wow, how sweet! However I respectfully denied her request and paid the bill cash, only because I ordered "the Alcohol", I wanted to pay. Overall an ok visit for both kids, and for me it was so so, same as previous visits in other Works restaurant in Oakville! Next time when in Kingston, (and until I master my Works menu ordering techniques,) I will go to nearby Ali Baba Kabab restaurant for a good grilled meat and solid meal.

Hands down THE best place I’ve ever been. Boss and I ended up here for an impromptu lunch date as we were walking past and the signage lured us in. We were immediately greeted and told to take a seat and he’d be right there. That’s when the magic began. Joey, who turned out to be the owner, was stupendously friendly, helpful and immediately made us both feel like we’d been there a million times. We had even placed bets when he left us with the menu on whether he was the manager or the owner. He gave us time with the drink menu, and when he returned he gave us some pointers on what his favourites were as there were a million options. When asked on help between picking from waygu or elk, he was knowledgeable and provided honest feedback on what he thought we’d like more. After placing our orders, we began discussing how good a tower of onion rings looked, and the next thing we knew he was bringing us a stack, on the house. We complimented Joey on his impressive customer service and got the answer to our bet, he is the owner. I can only HOPE to love my business enough to be able to take such good care of my customers. As a member of management, he speaks volumes to how leading by example sets the atmosphere for all of your guests. As if the customer service wouldn’t be enough to keep me coming back for wet cardboard and water, the food is absolutely incredible. Onion rings are amazing, the portion sizes are massive (bottomless fries an option, but we didn’t even get there) the burgers are well cooked, toppings fresh and every sauce we had the pleasure of tasting was delicious on everything. This is certainly a new staple for our management team. Thank you for giving us such an amazing experience Joey! We...

First time there. Started out great. Ordered drinks and the onion ring tower. Waitress brought the drinks and the onion rings were ready as well which was great. They were delicious. Dinner took a while and I noticed ( what i hoped wasnt our order) sitting on the kitchen service counter for a while. Our waitress was way over worked. When we came in there were 3 other tables of 2 in her area and as our order sat there her whole section became full with a table of 12 and 3 other 4somes. She finally brought our dinners and everything was cold. Very cold. All 3 of us told her this as she stood there. She was actually dumbfounded and said oh really , pause, and we said we have to get to a show so never mind. She came over later and asked how everything was and we said the burgers were cold like the fries. She said I'll let them know. We then had to wait until the other 24 people had drinks and apps until we asked for our bill. She disappeared again (we realized she was the bartender too) we then just went to the front service area and one of the guys (2 of them standing there while all of this took place) said would you like to pay. So she was called over and rang our bills up. So a burger, fries and 1 beer was $45 and they advertise their fries as bottomless....I mean even if they brought us over a plater of fresh fries it would have been something. So needless to say, won't be back. Even McDonalds has hot food. Odd how they have been there for so long too.

Edit to my post. Khalya from the customer service was very prompt in addressing this issue and has made things right with us. We will be going again to enjoy a...

We went specifically for the milkshakes as we were recommended to try them, however our waiter told us they were out of ice cream. We were not prepared for that so we asked for a few minutes to look at the drinks menu. We then sat there for 20 minutes eventually looking up other restaurants in the area because we had an event reservation later in the evening, this would’ve been understandable if it was busier but the restaurant was half empty. When our waiter returned we had to ask if they had coke or pepsi products because it wasn’t on the menu, they didn’t have our first 3 choices either which I would’ve loved if the menu or the waiter had told us in those 20 minutes. When we did get our food the burgers were so dry and there was toppings from each others burgers on our own. For a place that specializes in burgers they were way more dry and tasteless then we expected. Finally despite telling our waiter that we were really excited for the milkshakes and came here for milkshakes as we were finishing our meal we watched another table be asked what kind of milkshakes they wanted and be served milkshakes, it was pretty upsetting that we were not offered milkshakes now that they were obviously available. This whole experience was not worth the almost $70 dollars spent on 2 meals, we didn’t even get any appetizers or dessert thats crazy we ended up going elsewhere for dessert after. My partner and I do look pretty young so maybe thats why we got poor service but we have never had this many issues just...
