I recently visited King’s Breakfast Place, one of Oshawa’s old establishments from the looks of it. The food was good – kind of comforting breakfast. From fluffy pancakes to perfectly cooked eggs and crispy bacon, it’s a great spot for classic breakfast comfort food. The service was decent, though not particularly outstanding. The staff was friendly enough, but the overall pace felt a bit slow, especially considering how popular the place is. That said, the staff was doing their best to handle the crowd, so I can’t fault them too much. What really stands out about King’s Breakfast Place is its vibe. Being one of the older spots in Oshawa, it has that nostalgic, homey charm that many newer places try to replicate but rarely achieve. It’s cozy and unpretentious, with a classic diner feel that makes it feel like a step back in time. Overall, King’s Breakfast Place is a solid choice if you're craving a hearty, no-frills breakfast in Oshawa. While the service could use a little improvement.

Went in for steak and eggs while running errands. Ordered my steak rare, got it well done. When the server checked on me, I told her the steak was way too overcooked. All she said was that she'd tell the cook. When I went to pay she still expected full price even though 80% of the steak was still on my plate. It was as tough as boot leather. I ended up agreeing to pay 15 dollars for three eggs, home fries and the smallest slices of rye toast I've ever seen. They gave me the ends of the loaf. Won't be going back. Eggs were perfect and homefries were good. Service was awful.

The establishment has a casual, cafeteria-style atmosphere, highlighted by incomplete menu boards and lime green accents. Despite being short-staffed with only two team members present, the food and service exceeded expectations. The traditional breakfast, priced at $12, was exceptionally well-prepared, and the service was attentive, elegant, and executed with great care. I would gladly return. Additionally, they offer a TV for your viewing enjoyment. Thank you.

So my partner and I came here for the first time for breakfast on Christmas Day. It was not busy; there were my partner and I and about 8 other people. We ordered and got our food; however, my partner got her food 5 minutes before mine came out, and when mine came out, the home fries were missing so I had to get up and go over to the waitress and tell her they forgot to bring my home fries. When we were ready to pay, the waitress overcharged us by $19. We didn’t realize we got overcharged until we got to our car. We went back in to let the waitress know she overcharged us and she did it again; she gave us $15 back when we should have gotten $19 back. We didn’t say anything because we didn’t leave a tip as the service was very bad but we decided that the $4 would be tip enough… With that being said, we definitely will NOT...

The worst experience/ place I have ever been to. The service is beyond slow. A snail could serve food faster. The waitress/ hostess is beyond incompetent. She has no clue as how to serve food or take care of customers needs. They have several tables in front of the food heating tray where the waitress has to excuse herself to guests in order to serve the food. We waited at least 40 mins to receive or food and it was mediocre. It is not busy in here maybe 10 people in here 5 tables to serve and the staff has no clue of what is going on. I would never ever come here again and I would advise my worst enemy to eat here. How this place has 4.9 stars is beyond me. Again absolutely the worst experience I have ever had while eating out. Me giving this place One star is me being too kind. I would give them zero stars if I had...
