Just went here with my mum a few hours ago and the place is definitely worth going back to! All of dishes we ordered were made to perfection, these dishes are The Cheese Corn, K-Old School Chicken, Rosé Teokbokki and some fresh fries.
The cheese corn was delicious, it's savory, cheesy, sweet and buttery but it isn't too salty so it light.
The K-Old School is a crispy battered fried chicken that you dip into a lil bit of salt & pepper, to which one of the servers informed us that its quite popular to eat chicken like this back in Korea.
The chicken was very crispy and still juicy! The meat and the batter were honestly so good that you don't even need the addition of salt & pepper to enjoy it. I highly recommend this one if you're not big on sauce or you enjoy a lighter meal.
The Rosé Teokbokki was so good 😭 It had a hint of spice but it works very well since it's also bit of a sweetness! The dish has broccoli, bacon, onion and definitely some cheese within a creamy thick redish-orange sauce (which you could also totally dip your fries/chicken into the leftover sauce )
The fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy in the centre and they weren't greasy or salty however I think we could've done without the fries this time around lol. With drinks the whole meal was under $60 for the 2 of us but we totally could've had a 3rd with us. Overall I think the prices are very fair and it genuinely nice to have a Korean restaurant here!
The staff are so kind and caring they really do put forth an effort to ensure they are serving you and feeding you well! Everytime a new dish was served to us our server gave a brief talk and showed sincere hope that we would enjoy their dishes. I'm happy to say the meal in it's entirety was delicious and I have no complaints even in the slightest.
I'm sure they'll be happy to answer any further questions you have about their menu but I hope many people will come to try and love this location!
My only other comment is that Gee Gee by Girls Generarion was playing on the back TV in their dinning area and although I love the song and group very much I just hope to see more music videos playing since it was just an insider vid on BTS and Gee Gee on loop 😂 I got a kick out of this and found it funny but I do worry someone may get a little overwhelmed by it so maybe add some more songs; I'd love to hear more old school music too one day!
I'll be happy to return to this location again and become some what of a regular when possible 😊 Thank you for...
Read moreWe got ubereats. Spent 95. And got 2 separate boxes of chicken, a 3 oz container of rice, and noodles with sticky red sauce, cabbage and fish sheets.
The biggest problem was the chicken. The box of spicy chili had 2 necks, 2back pieces, the part with the Oyster or little chunk of meat, and half a breast cut into 3 pieces. There was one drumstick. The original k was more of the same. 1 whole wing, with a feather on the end of the end tip that is normally cut off, and again, 2 necks and 2 backs and 1 drumstick. A piece we could not figure out. Maybe half a thigh. We paid 27 each for the boxes. So, we paid $54 plus tax and tip for chicken stock parts. 2 drumsticks and a wing. Normally, you get to ask for mix etc. It says mix. Nowhere does it say 90% backs and fried necks. The noodles were very hard, and needed more cabbage. Just like a bowl of bbq sauce with a few Tice rolls, in it. The rice was 3 tablespoons. We know because we were so shocked that we measured it out.
First and last time. They did give me sauce on the side after I had to call, their lnline dystem said yes, but she said no. I told her the truth. One wants sauce, lbe does not. 18.00 for a bowl. 2 half cabbage leaves, 5 slices of fish cake and 1 cup of noodle rolls. Can buy these frozen for 2.99. I was so embarrassed to feed my guests necks and backs. They are not odd bits eaters. Washed them off of chilies and made stock. We ordered pizza. Too bad, have had great Korean chicken all over Toronto, Oshawa...
Read moreLet's start off with food,
Food is always a hit here, their Korean fried chicken/wings are always cooked perfectly, there's so much flavor on all the sauces they use, and the fries, although mostly likely frozen costco fries, always are good as well. The hrugers are also fantastic, juicy and the same sauce that's used for the wings. The servers and owners are very nice and are always making sure you have everything you need (but I do come when it's not that busy). I'd would say the prices are normal with what's we get today, but all the flats come with their full tips still on so you get a little bit more than normal places. The location is a bit weird, and hard to get too, on the parking side there's a little alley way for customers parking but it's way to small and narrow, so I use the payed parking behind, but I don't pay, and just leave my car there for the short while I'm there. The inside is nothing very modern or new, but it's clean enough and has washrooms for seperate genders. Over all I'd say not just for Korean fried chicken, but for normal fried chicken and wings this place is a must try!
Always recommend this place! They have other Korean food as well like tteokbokki...
