Riley's Pub — Restaurant in Oshawa

Many different issues with this establishment... The first being the service was mediocre at best. We had a small group of us, 10 to be exact. So the waitress came around and introduced herself, took the drink order. 5-10 mins later another waitress came around and started they have switched waitresses and she needed to retake the order. So after 3 different trips everybody got their drinks. One trip water, 2nd hot beverages and 3rd cold beverages. After a while she came around to take the food order. She didnt ask many questions which were crucial to the food quality. Such as steak temp. It wasnt asked to one and the other was asked. (Steak was asked to be rare) the steaks came medium well. So they were asked to be refired and she stated they werent allowed to send another steak. Also when asked to starter salad on the souvlaki dinners, the options were garden, Greek or ceasar. When the bill came there was an additional charge of 3$ for the salads when I straight up didnt want the salad and she advised me it came with the meal. On the bill it showed otherwise. When I asked about it she said it was an up charge for Greek and ceasar.... I asked why it wasn't brought up when I stated I didnt want a salad. She said she didnt think of the up charge. Moral of the story I probably wont be going back here...

Lattice fry poutine is bomb, ill start with that. Prices are average, good bar overall. But the SECURITY jheez the security in this place. My personal experience is after watching a boxing match on tv i was picked out of a crowd at random by the bouncer "Felipe" (take my word for it i was not being belligerent, i have many witnesses, and video evidence) and i was dragged down the stairs and thrown out onto the street. I would love to bump my rating up to a 4 star for all the wonderful service ive had there the other dozen times, but NONE of the security or staff were helpful in resolving the issue. They lost my hat during all this (which i paid $200 for because its a vintage N.E.R.D. Hat) Video evidence shows him initiating physical contact in an overly aggressive matter. And video will also show that i only bought TWO DRINKS. I was not blackout or anything. Until Felipe publicly apologizes to me, or resigns, I now must boycott this place for treating me A PAYING CUSTOMER (Who tips at least 20% every drink) like a cockroach. I tell ya Felipe, if the police dont deal with this, God or I surely will, you are lucky to have your security protection with you tonight. I have NEVER received such poor treatment as a paying customer. Too bad, because I...

Working in hospitality and hearing many good things about this place I expected better service. The girl looked like she did not want to be there, there were only three tables in the restaurant and she was not attentive to any of them. I sat with my drink empty timing for about 20 mins before I finally asked her for a refill. Once again we waited for a about half an hour or possibly longer before she came back with the bill. Friend finally got up to get the server and she was sitting on her phone before she arrived not once did she willingly walk up to our table after serving us. The food wasn’t overly special I would definitely go somewhere else for more proactive service. It was a Wednesday night, it’s not hard to serve 3 tables especially on a less busy night you think your server would be trying to emphasize their attention to the customer even if they want to be on their phone at least try to earn their tip. You think the servers would want the restaurant to make profit to be able to have more staff on and get more hours but clearly she didn’t care about her job.
