Stepped into Tahini's as in the past, we have had pleasant experiences in Scarborough, Vaughn, etc. We were quite surprised to find this one completely empty as we've always lined up in other branches. Anyways, we proceeded with placing our order and picked Kafta large plate and Shawarma wrap. We were told regular came with 2 kaftas and large came with 3. We picked for the large size. We sit in the diner waiting for our turn when the server who took our order approaches us. He mentions he's new and wasn't aware of the fact that the rates displaying on the screen were old and as per the new change...large comes with 2 instead of 3 kaftas. My husband was upset, but I asked him to let it go as it seemed like an honest mistake. The shawarma was below average, dry meat, khubs bread was chewy, and the kaftas were literally questionable interms of taste and quality.
As we were stepping out, we saw a customer complaining that the food he received was unsatisfactory and he wanted to speak to the manager bout it. One of the servers literally lost his mind and started yelling at the customer charging on the customer saying that ' If you like the foood you eat, if you dont like it then throw it' but dont come to us saying our food is not good!🙄😵😵💫
By this time there were 5 more people in the restaurant and all of us were shocked ! The server was extremely frustrated and irritated at his job. I honestly dont get it...why do you work when you hate what you're doing? Zero customer service. The customer was handling the matter very well so none interfered, but boy...that was embarrassing to encounter. Never ever stepping into this place again. Well, they wouldn't care either as that's what was told on that customer's...
Read moreI recently visited your store and had the worst experience I’ve ever had at any Tahini location. As a frequent visitor, I was deeply disappointed to see only one employee managing everything—taking orders, prepping, cooking, and serving customers.
While she did an amazing job working under such pressure, it’s unfair to expect one person to handle all these responsibilities, as it affects not only her well-being but also the quality of service and food.
The meat I received was dry and unappealing, with a large, unidentifiable chunk that made the dish even more disappointing. The long waiting time added to the frustration, especially after traveling a considerable distance to dine here.
Despite these issues, I truly appreciate the lone employee’s hard work and dedication, but she clearly needs proper support to ensure good food and service for customers.
This review is not meant to harm your business but to highlight the need for better staffing and operational support. I hope the management takes this seriously, as your reputation and loyal customers depend on it. I will remove this review once I see a response or acknowledgment, as my intention is only to help address the problem constructively.
I was going through the reviews what others were sending in the Reviews basically I am also pointing the same. Hopefully Owners doesn’t care..😴

Read moreI was disappointed with my experience at this restaurant today. I arrived at 11:00 AM, the scheduled opening time, only to find the doors still locked. At 11:15 AM, I had to knock for the employee to open the door so I could place my order. When I did, I was told it would be a 30-minute wait because she was prioritizing larger orders. This is not good customer service.
During my wait, I observed three other people leave without placing orders, and two women walked out because the employee didn’t greet them or take their orders. Adding to the frustration, the employee wore headphones, which made the experience feel unprofessional and inattentive.
This location used to provide excellent service when it first opened, so this decline is disappointing. If fulfilling larger orders takes priority, preparation should start earlier to avoid delaying walk-in customers. It’s now 11:30 AM, and I’m still waiting for the order I placed at 11:17 AM, behind Uber orders. As I mentioned earlier, four customers have left because of this poor service.
If the morning staff is struggling to manage, the business should consider scheduling additional employees to ensure the restaurant opens on time and operates efficiently.
This isn’t the employee fault its management not hiring enough people to help or...
