Osmow's Shawarma — Restaurant in Ottawa

Listen I love osmows, I’ve been to a ton of locations in Toronto and actually my favourite location is the one downtown Ottawa on Dalhousie St. I ordered for the first time at this location in Bayshore a mixed beef and chicken on the rocks, omg they completely destroyed it. First of all, any time I ordered this at other locations they cook the beef on the griddle by itself and the chicken is already cooked in the warming container. When they plate it they plate it with rice and then chicken on one half and beef on the other half. For some reason this location fried the beef and chicken MIXED TOGETHER on the griddle which made the meat, particularly the chicken extremely dry. The beef for some reason was also super dry. Also, they gave so much less food than the other locations I’ve been to. Barely even half full the container. Also, it’s poorly organized I could barely hear them call out the names of peoples orders and it was a super long wait. Highly disappointed in this location. Please do yourself a favour and go to the downtown osmows location which is in my opinion the best location I’ve been to ever. This location needs to step...

I got violently ill after eating a beef shawarma on half rice and half fries. I saw the worker grab the meat from a container stored way under the grill. That should have been my indicator but I had a craving and ignored it. Hours later, I’m violently throwing up and am in so much pain. It’s the only food I had eaten all day.

I suspect poor food handling is the case here. I will not eat here again. I haven’t been able to even keep water down. That’s how bad it is.

EDIT: I called the number in the response from the owner. The guy on the phone insisted it wasn't their fault. Kept making an excuse that my food poisoning had to come from some where else. Even after mentioning that the only food I ate was Osmow's, I got the same response. He did say he was going to tell the owner. But seriously, how is this making things right? The least they could do is offer a refund or compensation for this. This is the next morning and I still cannot eat or drink anything. I've been violently throwing up for hours. Absolutely will not come back here and will advise others to not go to this...

Awful, every time. I have been multiple times to this location as well as the Woodroffe location. This one is the WORST. They don't even fill up the poutine container - I would say the bottom half is half full. They did not ask myself nor my friend if we wanted veggies on them (mine was plain, his was lamb). I had to ask them to put them on mine, and even then they seemed like they did not want to and even seemed confused by the request. After having requested it on mine, my friend noticed he was not getting any - I had to ask them for veggies on his too. Yet the Woodroffe location asks every time, and gives you a fair amount of both fries and veggies (more fries, of course). The fattoush salad looked okay but again unfilled. Woodroffe is the best location; they are organized, timely, provide expected amounts of food, and good customer service. Bayshore also has a hard time understanding my local accent, which has caused miscommunications multiple times. They are crummy in person and crummy from Uber.
