We went to Patty Pub for St. Patrick’s Day, and to say I was disappointed is an understatement. We’ve been going for three years with our daughter—it’s become a tradition. We arrived at 3:30 PM, waited 45 minutes, and were welcomed by the bouncer. When a table became available, he invited us in, but the owner, Carrie, immediately said, “No kids allowed.” Funny, since we’ve never had an issue before. In 2022, we sat next to her husband upstairs, and just last year, we sat downstairs (photos attached). When I pointed this out, Carrie abruptly changed her mind but rudely insisted we could only sit upstairs. After sending us back outside multiple times, she finally seated us at a table for three, knowing we were a party of four. When I mentioned it, she dismissed us again. My daughter was in tears, blaming herself. At that point, we left. This used to be our go-to pub (we live on Riverdale), but after being treated so poorly—especially in front of our child—we won’t be returning. The lack of consistency and basic respect is unacceptable.

I hadn't been to Patty's in 20 years. As I was in the area, decided to stop in for a couple of pints and a bite to eat. My friends and I used to stop once or twice a week, so the fact it hasn't really changed since then brought back a lit of great memories of friends who've long since left Ottawa. My server Annie was outstanding and despite it being a Redblacks game day, she was attentive and extremely pleasant. Had a couple of IPAs and a fully loaded Patty's burger which was outstanding. I'm always nervous going to an old haunt, but this was a great time. Thank you Patty's for a great time and rush of great memories.

Summary St. Patty's Pub: A must-visit institution with fantastic food, service, and ambiance. Try the delicious pan-seared chicken for great value. Vast drinks menu with excellent selection. Great location and cool ambiance.

St. Patty's Pub is a true institution! This hidden gem in the heart of Lawndown Glebe is an absolute must-visit. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home. The combination of exceptional food, outstanding service, and delightful ambiance sets this place apart.

When it comes to the menu, St. Patty's Pub offers a selection of delicious pub comfort food that hits all the right notes. While it may not deliver mind-blowing culinary experiences, it's exactly what you'd expect and crave from a traditional pub. During my visit, I opted for the pan-seared chicken, and it exceeded all expectations. The flavors were tantalizing, and the portion size was generous, offering excellent value for money. I wholeheartedly recommend trying this dish; you won't be disappointed.

One aspect that truly impressed me was the extensive drinks menu. St. Patty's Pub boasts a remarkable selection of beverages, catering to all tastes and preferences. Whether you're a craft beer aficionado or a cocktail enthusiast, you're sure to find something that will please your palate. The bar itself is well-stocked and manned by skilled bartenders who are passionate about their craft.

Furthermore, the location of St. Patty's Pub is ideal. Situated in a vibrant area, it offers easy access and convenience for both locals and visitors alike. The ambiance of the place is undeniably cool, creating an enjoyable and relaxed atmosphere that encourages lively conversations and a sense of camaraderie. Additionally, the outdoor patio provides a fantastic space to soak up the surroundings while enjoying your favorite beverage.

In conclusion, St. Patty's Pub is a must-go destination for anyone in the Lawndown Glebe area. With its exceptional food, attentive service, extensive drinks menu, and inviting ambiance, it's a true gem that shouldn't be missed. I wholeheartedly give it a 5 out of 5 rating, and I guarantee you'll have a memorable...

Last night, we decided to pop in to catch some of Game 6 of the Oilers comeback series. The place was relatively busy. People were watching the Game along the bar counter. We were brought to one of the side rooms with a TV where everyone was seemingly glued to the game. The adjoining room was also watching the Game. However, they seemed to be watching via a different channel, which was 10-15 secs ahead. The strange part was that there was no sound from either TV. A few of us asked the server, and though she was polite, told us that the owner who was absent DECIDED to keep the sound off as the local patrons prefer it that way and would NOT budge! Meanwhile both rooms were packed with hockey watchers who would have been very appreciative of better ambiance and the ability to hear the Game. Go figure. I was less than pleased and left as the experience was suboptimal. I would presume that say in England where many locals may flock to a bar regularly, that on the night of a football match, not-fans would appreciate circumstances and either not attend that night or bare the fans.

On other fronts, the service was very good but the portion size was very small for the price and I am still feeling the effects of the food the day after (it did not agree with me and no, it was not because I was drinking unless the water was spiked!), I will definitely not be returning to watch future sports events and equally discourage others. This place seems to prefer not to cater to crowd interests. There are other places up the street that does. I only wish that I knew...

I’m usually not the type to leave reviews on places, but my experience last night kind of shocked me. I went here with my boyfriend and my best friend on a tuesday night and it wasn’t all that busy. when my boyfriend and i ordered chicken tenders to share for a little snack, i had asked if we could get a mix of bbq and hot sauce , and the server in a very rude manner went “so medium?, that’s medium”. i just said sure. when the food came out, we politely called the server over since what was on our table was wings when we had ordered tenders. she immediately snapped and said “you had ordered wings” again in a tone that was completely condescending and rude, and turned away almost immediately. she did end up getting the right food out, but didn’t even try to apologize, and the way she was speaking to us made us believe that she didn’t think she made a mistake at all (which is totally normal and happens!) i myself am a server and would never even dream of speaking to a patron like this. mistakes happen, but you don’t speak to a customer in a way so rude that it’s uncomfortable, even if you believe that they’re wrong for correcting a mistake, just be nice, it’s not that hard. still tipped 15-20% across the table. anyways, i find it quite sad because i really did find the place really cute, but unfortunately we will not...
