The food is really quite good here. But… There seems to be a major issue with the person who orders everything because everything was sold out. After 15 minutes of waiting on the food they come and say the only have one steak. Then we order a beer and after 15 mins they come and say that’s sold out. My friend got a beer before his food. And after he was finished eating. It was not busy… I ordered a crème bruele but never received it nor was I charged but it was hopeless. They have a really good chance to be a great restaurant if they improve their service and hire a new inventory person

I must confess… upon reading the previous review, I was thoroughly puzzled by this raging diatribe. I arrived tonight, bracing for a post apocalyptic grocery aisle, only to be greeted with a fully stocked fridge AND my brew of choice - the Majestic MacKinnon Brothers Cross Cut. It was even served with effortless grace and poise by Jenna. Perhaps some patrons confuse poetic lamentation with feedback grounded in reality. As for me, I’ll be here sipping my perfectly available pint

Went here for lunch with the work team. Great food great drinks. Food came promptly and was delicious. Prices were also very reasonable. Will definitely be coming back here.

Look I live in the building that this restaurant is associated with, and all 4 times I had been here the experiences has been brutal, first time I went was opening night and inorder just simple chicken wings and manage to get food poisoning, so second time I went I decided to just order drinks and asked them to do the old fashion challenge big mistake I had very water no smoke or actual flavor? And on top of it the Manager who also claims to live in the building says that's a proper old fashion I laugh and said absolutely not….

Then recently I went in there with my gf and her two friends and it was 7:30pm on a Friday night and there was a total of 7 staff members working one being the manager, and we waitied at hostess stand no one sat us so we sit down getting confirmmation from bar to sit down and strangely enough no staff decided to serve us, like really? Customers were kike 9 in total at that point before the four of us came in side and your staff our ignorant to pretend to be too busy to get us a menu or at least a water but no what I saw was bartender flirting with two guy customers at bar, hostess and a good runner talking and taking their time cleaning one table of dishes, and oh yea rest of staff chilling around the hostess stand determine who's music playlist going be on next? And yea manager upstairs watching all this madness on camera,

Madisons was a dive of Resturant and this place is a bigger dive and everyone whose writing good reviews off this place are ghost writers and not legit, if I was owner of this place I'd reply to me and ask to speak in person and as a professional career industry worker in hospitality industry I'd give u real advicewhich be put a bullet in this project and move forward your staff is costingbu everything….

Like said honest and brutally...

I always look for the positive in everything. This is my first ever negative review. The hostess was confused when we walked in with a reservation for four. Took us to our table but someone was sitting there. Made us wait for close to five minutes to be seated to the table next to it. Then she ended up being our server. Had to have been her first…but don’t think so. Our drink order was painful to order and worse to receive…close to 15mins. I had to walk up to the bar and ask where our server was. Our fourth person arrived late and didn’t get his drink until after our meal showed up. Which was at least 25 mins. The food arrived but one plate at a time. First plate came out and second one didn’t arrive for another 5 mins. The last two plates came out another 5 mins later. Then 10 mins after that for his drink. Had to ask for cutlery which wasn’t just a 30 second get. And the ketchup for the fries was another 15 mins. Food wasn’t great and a middle bite of my buttermilk chicken sandwich was cold. My friend ordered Parmesan fries and said worst he’d ever tasted. It’s unfortunate but I can’t in good conscience say anything positive about our experience. And truly, this was a fair representation of the experience. I’d even think of trying to go back someday in case it was a one off, but looking at a other experiences/reviews, I don’t think it will be soon. Good luck to you guys, because you won’t be around long without...

Booked a reservation 2 weeks ahead for a birthday dinner and it turned into one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Place wasn’t even busy, but after sitting down it took 45+ minutes before the server came back. They only grabbed 2 drink orders, disappeared again, and another 25 minutes went by before those drinks even showed up. The rest of the table still ignored.

We sat there for over 2 hours before they finally took food orders, only for the hostess to come over 5 minutes later and tell us the manager was kicking us out for being “unruly.” Unreal. None of us were disrespectful… funny thing is the server even told us “thank you for being so patient” not long before coming to take the food orders! The other tables around us were just as shocked as we were.

Bottom line: no food, terrible service, and then told to leave on a birthday night. THANKS FOR RUINING MY BIRTHDAY DINNER!

We ended up going around the corner to the Royal Oak and had drinks in 10 minutes and food in 25. That’s how a restaurant should run.

You should be incredibly embarrassed of how you treated us when we literally did nothing wrong. You knew in advance a large group was coming in, and you still weren’t prepared so we get kicked out because you couldn’t handle it. Not sure who’s running the location, but we never had a bad experience at the one in Kingston...
