I recently had the pleasure of trying out the take-out Thai place when we were on holiday in Penticton, and I must say, it was an absolute delight!. As a vegetarian in Pentincton, finding good food options can sometimes be a challenge, but this place exceeded my expectations. PLEASE NOTE: We did have to order our dinner order one day in advance, as they prepared the green curry without the fish sauce only on advance ordering. All their regular curries contain fish sauce, and unlike a lot of ther places, they are very clear about it, which I really appreciated. And the food was definitely worth the wait!
The highlight of our meal was the aromatic and mouthwatering Green Curry. Loaded with a generous amount of fresh vegetables and perfectly cooked tofu, it was a vegetarian's dream come true. The flavours were perfectly balanced, and every bite was a burst of fresh flavours. And I lived and South Asia for a long time, so know this is the real deal! If you're a fan of Thai curries, this one is not to be missed.
Another dish that stole the show was the Drunken Noodles!! These noodles were incredibly flavorful and had just the right amount of spiciness. The combination of well-cooked noodles, fresh veggies, basil leaves and an amazing sauce made it an absolute must-order. We all definitely happily over ate!!
The portions are family generous. One curry is sufficient for 2 people. Would suggest ordering extra small rice, as they rice that comes with the curry is not enough.
Apart from the outstanding flavors, I was also impressed by the thoughtful packaging. The restaurant took great care in ensuring that the food arrived in perfect condition. The curries were very hot, so were placed in sturdy containers, and to prevent any leakage or mess, they even added cardboard pieces for each box. It was a small but significant gesture that showed their attention to detail.
Overall, my experience at this Thai place was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I placed my order to the last bite of my meal, everything was simply fantastic. The restaurant's commitment to providing delicious vegetarian options alongside their other offerings is commendable. If you find yourself in Penticton and craving some authentic Thai cuisine, I highly recommend giving this place a try. You won't be...
Read moreCozy unassuming restaurant on the Main street, careful when you're driving past - blink and you might miss it.
Food and drinks are great and very tasty, service is quick and pleasant. Can't ask for more than that...oh yeah and the prices are a steal.
We stopped by for a late lunch/early dinner and were happy with our choice. I would have liked to visit the BBQ place across the street too, but you can't go wrong with Thai cuisine and the portions are big enough that I feel stuffed an hour later.
The only thing I'd suggest is to not bother asking for "mild" Tom Kha. The soup itself is great and my other half isn't a fan of spicy food so it was perfect. That being said, if you order it, do it justice and ask for it to be at least a...
Read moreOur first food stop in Penticton from Vancouver as we just wanted something quick after a long road trip. We were so pleasantly surprised by how kind and sweet the lady up front was. The food was simple but delicious - exactly what we were looking for. Their Tom Yum is probably one of the best I’ve ever had. We got the lunch special sizes which we were told is smaller than their regular size but the portions were still very generous! We could tell immediately they value their regulars as the lady up front recognized and remembered the orders of a few different customers. I would definitely come here again if I visit...
