Lachi Fine Indian Cuisine — Restaurant in Penticton

Ordered take out, had the following issues: Something really hard was in the pakora. Hurt my wife's tooth. The chicken in the mango chicken was DISGUSTING. It had some weird strong taste, like it was either bad or undercooked. It was slightly pink inside so might have been the latter. Ordered two main curries online. Most other Indian restaurants come with rice. This didn't, and nothing on the site says that. I suppose it doesn't say it comes with rice either but getting home and having nothing to eat your curry with is really annoying. showed up exactly on time (45min after order) and food was on the back counter. Told the host and he took my name. He told me to wait because a big group came up to pay so he was helping them. so I stood back politely waiting but when he was done with them he just stood there... Looking around the room for a long time. Finally someone from the back saw me waiting and came to get the host and they grabbed my food. It was really weird. He didn't go check if it was ready or ask someone else if it was or anything...just....stood there. Food was still warm but not hot so must have been sitting there for a while before i got there too.

Some of the food tasted good at least but I can't recommend this place as that's just too many issues. There are much better Indian...

Authentic food with a large selection of choices along with attentive and friendly staff made this place an absolutely amazing choice for dinner. Lachi was highly recommended as the place to go for indian food and I was not disappointed. My order consisted of 2 types of naan bread, a lamb dish, chicken dish, two vegetable dishes, a rice dish, mango lassi as well as desert. I can honestly say having had indian food from various cities over the years, this is excellent quality food. The meat is tender, the spices are beautifully blended, the naan is perfectly done, and the desert (raasmali) was nothing, and I mean nothing short of delicate perfection. In addition to this, there was more than enough food for two to have a large dinner and a second large meal the next day. The staff were attentive and friendly but didn't hover, which I especially enjoyed. The only disappointment I have is that I live 4 hours away. With that being said, I'm sure this will be the place I look forward to eating at...
