Ok. Let's be clear about one thing. I absolutely love the quality of sushi from Sushi Heaven. The times I've actually been able to enjoy it, it has been heavenly. However, they offer delivery. And without even exaggerating, the last five times we have tried to order for delivery they have been "booked up for deliveries". Now okay, I get it. Your sushi place is busy because you are so awesome at making sushi. However two of the times that I phoned.. it was early. I'm talking 4 p.m. I was told that they were booked up BUT if I called back at 6:30 I would get a spot for delivery. Of course when I called back at 6:20 (because I have completely lost faith in Sushi Heaven at this point) they were "completely totally booked up until close and we are so sorry about that." I actually went to pick up my Sushi once.. I arrived exactly when they told me to. I waited for 50 minutes on a bench outside whilst being given an apology every 10 minutes. At this point my wife asked me if I want to order Sushi Heavend and I legitimately have an emotional response. if you can only offer seven people delivery in a day with no fair way to regulate who gets deliveries whilst legitimately screwing people out of promises for delivery if they phone back at a " certain time " ... Just stop with this ridiculous business model. You are awesome at making sushi and you are incredibly friendly people. However it's not friendly anymore if you make promises you can't keep it's just frustrating. Please keep in mind that I say this with the utmost of respect for you and your trade and your incredible skill making sushi. I WOULD JUST LOVE TO ENJOY SOME...

This place was packed, and for good reason! The wait staff were friendly and charming, making a solid effort to ensure everyone was well taken care of despite the somewhat high wait times due to overwhelming demand.

For starters, we ordered pan fried Gyoza, calamari tempura, and assorted tempura. We also received a complimentary bowl of miso soup for everyone in our party as a way of compensating for the long wait time tonight. The miso soup was rich and flavourful, much better than what I'm accustomed to even in the GVRD. The gyoza were fine, tasty but nothing special. The tempura was great, though! Very crisp, thin tempura batter and obviously very fresh veggies and shrimp!

For our mains, two of our party went for the roll combo which, while simple, were made very well. The rest of us shared the Large Platter, which did take some time, but the wait is to be expected with so large an order. That being said, it was well worth the wait! All the rolls were made tightly and cut with precision. The nigiri was thick, and all the fish was fresh. Something that caught my attention was how tasty the spicy sauce on the spicy Tuna rolls were! It was not just your run of the mill hot and bland sauce, but had a hint of sweetness that tastes rather nice with the tuna.

All in all, we are extremely happy that we tried Sushi Heaven, and we will be sure to keep coming...

I’ll start off by saying I love this place! I come from osoyoos once or twice a month just for lunch! The food is amazing and worth the hour drive. However, my last trip there was odd. I was meeting a friend. I asked to have a Sapporo while I waited for him, and then sat there for 10 minutes waiting for the drink. No big deal. When my friend showed up, I ordered my usual lunch box A and he ordered two plates of sashimi and a lobster roll. He’s a body builder, and I’ve seen him eat three times this amount. But when we ordered we were told in a worrying tone “that’s a lot of food” Ok so? I never make it through my lunch box but I can always take it to go. A second time a server came over just to say “ you guys ordered a lot of food. Yeah we know. Isn’t that what you want people to do. I had my box packed up to go as usual and without even asking, while my friend was finishing his roll, the young server just walked up and handed him the bill. I was so confused. He absolutely would have ordered more but it felt like we were being pushed out. We were not there even an hour, and there were several tables open. Not sure why the bill came. I’ll end with saying, this won’t stop me from coming! I may just order take out next time. The food is still amazing and maybe the service just needs a...

Fast and friendly service. Also loves the decor and ambiance. The vegetable gyoza to start was a great idea - super crisp and delicious with a great sauce. We enjoyed the taste of the spicy salmon, spicy tuna, spicy dynamite roll but were very glass we ordered a regular dynamite roll as all of the spicy ones had the same exact oddly sweet spicy sauce drizzled over it. The large roles were not tightly wrapped and extremely hard to eat as they fell apart. Dynamite had a Small portion of shrimp to a massive helping of crab in them. Best part was the rice in their sushi. Perhaps the best sticky rice I’ve had in a long long time.

The service was absolutely above and beyond, and a huge shoutout to David and Sol for making our visit extra special. I love how they treated people :) Everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor, every bite was perfect! As a lovely surprise, we were offered a complimentary fried potato appetizer while waiting for our food, it was such a thoughtful touch and so delicious! Highly recommend for anyone looking for not just a meal, but a memorable experience!
