Stopped by to try out this cute coffee shop today! The atmosphere is super cute. They have cute art to look at , a black board to draw on, and local jewelry being sold. They have lots of food options such as sandwiches and pastries as-well as a cute dog treat jar. They donât really have a proper menu, just drawings of what sandwiches they have on the glass and a printed out piece of paper for the drinks. Which is hard to see. It would be nice if it was bigger so that if I was waiting longer Iâd have time to look at the drink options they had ahead of time. There wasnât a line when I came in, but I could see they were busy making other drinks. Unfortunately they put in no effort into acknowledging me even standing at the till waiting patiently . I think a simple âhi I will be with you in just one secondâ would be nice and welcoming so I donât feel completely unnoticed. As well at the end when I thanked the barista he just kind of dismissed me. I thought maybe he didnât hear me so I said thank you again. To which he replied with a quick âya no problem. Besides that the iced coffee was delicious, very rich in taste, had a few coffee grounds in it but would recommend...
Read moreI'm incredibly disappointed that I've been living in the tri-cities for 4 years and just tried this place for the first time. I don't know what kind of people they have working here, whoever came up with their Egg Danish needs a raise or at the very least a medal. The egg danish has croissant dough, folded danish style, topped with a rosette of ham, an egg, cheese and pizza spices, whoever thought this was a good combo is on a whole other level, YUM! They only have one dairy free offering for their coffee which is oat milk and their coffee menu is very basic, all the usual culprits, no original drinks here but I'm not sure they need it. I had their caramel macchiato and it was so much nicer than the big chain's, it was a caramel macchiato for coffee lovers, rich coffee flavour with a hint of caramel. Lastly, I tried the milk chocolate macaron, I loved that their macarons are larger than most cafés offer but they are your typical macarons, no insane flavours but perfectly paired with coffee flavours (milk chocolate and salted caramel). Can't wait to come back and try more of...
Read moreInitially, I would have given this 3.5 stars, but settled on 3. I quite enjoyed my first visit. Consistently good coffee and excellent food over repeated visits has prompted me to bump this up to 4 stars.
First, and the top consideration for a coffee shop, the coffee was reasonable. Not outstanding, but good. They are using Oughtred coffee with satisfactory results.
Second, the food was quite good. Definitely above average. I had an egg Danish, and a pear and almond tart. Both were delicious.
Third, the interior space is crisp and modern, and exceeded my expectations from my initial drive-by. It was quite loud inside, despite not being overly crowded. It's probably not unreasonable for some, but I prefer a little more muted atmosphere. The space would benefit from some acoustic treatment in the form of wall hangings and/or...
