Let me paint you a picture. It's a Wednesday morning, and you are walking down the Hamilton Street. You notice the aroma of cinnamon buns slowly pulling you in to Green Spot Café; you just cannot resist it. As you enter, the sign greets you, "A Great Day Starts Here." You know that it will be since you catch a glimpse of glistening cinnamon buns ahead waiting for you to order it.
I think that is usually is the case every cinnamon bun days (Wednesdays & Saturdays) because people are lining up for it; it really is that worth it.
One of the great aspects of the café is that they are really hands-on. They roast their coffee beans, and you can buy them too (whole bean or ground of your choice). The food products are homemade (from cinnamon buns, cheesecakes, muffins, to the lunch items etc). As well, the baristas are friendly.

Read moreSigns and awards everywhere saying best cinnamon bun and wouldn’t you know it, we came on Wednesday, the only day they have them. And holy s*%#, they are WELL WORTH any qualms you have. I wouldn’t normally have pastries for breakfast but these looked still warm and gooey and did not disappoint. Hands down the best, fluffiest, crunchy on the bottom, gooey on the top, buttery, caramel-y cinnamon I’ve ever had.
Also had a blueberry bran muffin (delicious) and americanos (also up there).
