A&W Canada — Restaurant in Richmond

I was here earlier to use my A&W coupon for lunch. They had orders that were behind and staff forgot about my Mama Burger Combo.

I had to wait longer than everyone else at the lineup. Add-on option for cheese was expensive than everywhere else. They charge 79 cents extra for cheese, BOO! :( thumbs down Staff asked me if I wanted refund for cheese, but I refused it since I love cheeseburger so much. Staff was helpful explaining why I got overcharged on my food.

I waited long for my order to come out; however, fries and burger tasted pretty good. I'd give 2 stars if my food wasn't fresh. Staff was nice offering me free turnover to apologize about waiting. Attention to the manager, This incident happened today, October 9 at approx. 4pm. One of your food counter staff that I encountered today was so unprofessional, impolite & very rude when treating the customer. She is lacking of good customer service conduct and food & hygiene safety; FAILED. She needs a proper training on how to handle the food. Touching it with her bare hands (skin to food) is something that is not a proper and right thing to do. After I caught her attention & I told her that I write a bad review towards her actions; instead of being apologetic, she said, “go ahead”. That lady has so much attitude. I’ve had repeated issues at this restaurant where staff change my order to a more expensive item without telling me—for example, switching a “Buddy Burger” to a “Teen Burger.” When questioned, they refuse responsibility and say, “It’s on the screen—you should have read it.” This is dishonest upselling.

Most recently, when I pointed it out, a staff member (an older, shorter woman) gave me a hostile look and slammed the food onto the table. Completely unprofessional and disrespectful.
