I had previously tried Little Fox's cream puffs when my coworker had brought some to share for a birthday event. My memory of those cream puffs were that they were the perfect sweetness level and I have been thinking about stopping by one day since.
Since I live all the way in East Vancouver, and get off work quite late, it was most convenient to order a day ahead to ensure that I could try all the baked goods I wanted. Upon ordering online, I struggled with adjusting the pickup day for my order. Eric (owner and chef of Little Fox) was able to swiftly reply to my message and assisted me with confirming the date I needed.
When I went to pick up my order the next day, I was in a rush and did not check inside the box until I got home. To my disappointment, all of the baked goods I ordered were present except my cream puffs. When I messaged Eric once more, not only was he understanding and supportive, he remembered the details in my previous message about my busyness and offered me choices to resolve my problem (e.g. to pickup another day, be refunded for missing items etc.). As soon as I had sent my preferred solution Eric assisted me immediately.
Instead of feeling disappointed I am now filled with appreciation for the excellent customer service provided. Not only will I be a returning customer but I will also recommend this bakery to all my close friends and family.
Side note: The items I did get included the white rabbit candy mochi donut, milk tea caramel macaron, and basque cheese cake. All three were the more exotic items on the menu apart from the cream puffs. Being a dessert lover that I am, I must say that I really did enjoy the special flavors and textures of all 3 items. My favourite of the 3 was the mochi donut. I am now excited to work around my schedule and definitely make more visits to Little Fox. My goal is to finally be able to get my hands on their cream puffs and try more items...

My boyfriend and I walked across their aesthetically pleasing display of baked goods only to realize we were tricked! Their stuff tastes like crap.
DO NOT order the Lychee Black Tea piece of cake. To my horror, the base of the cake is a half cut piece of the Korean LOTTE CHOCO-PIE. Who the F does that? There was no lychee/black tea taste at all, and it was just filled with cheap cream!! You cannot trick the customer. It's like buying a Costco lasagna and serving it in an Italian restaurant, and saying it's authentic. Heck, Costco stuff tastes better as you can't really tell! Also, please buy proper small pastry boxes as oppose to take out containers meant for salads, appy's etc...my single cake slice was squished due to the big gap in space in the container when I opened it back home, and no dine in option to eat in store.
We also ordered the canelé and it was heavily BURNT along with way too much dense flour what tasted like tapioca flour. There was zero taste! This not how a true canele should taste. They had the mould for it to make the shape, but that's about it!
As someone mentioned here, their Thai Milk Tea Mochi doughnut was gross. Not much taste and again, heavy use of tapioca flour and it felt like eating a super dense cake and not a donut! I don't even think this was deep fried like a traditional doughnut. Tapioca flour is super cheap to purchase at Asian supermarkets. I wonder if they even carry any real flour or cake flour?!
This place is not worth a visit at all, save your money and go to an actual bakery, not a fake one that...
Read moreThis is our first time ordering a 6 inch birthday cake that is a coffee and hong kong tea flavor. The cake is EXCELLENT...the top whipping cream is coffee flavored and the inside 2 layers of cream are hong kong tea flavored. On the top of the cake are fresh strawberries, blueberries, one chocolate macaron, and shards of chocolate along with a round chocolate written with happy birthday. (no extra charge for this piece of chocolate while many bakeries even charge extra for this) The cake is actually larger than a 6 inch for $32 as it was about 6.5 inches. We got 6 very generous pieces of cakes out of this birthday cake and every bite was absolutely delicious. We also bought a double baked croissant with a salted egg and almond cream inside and the croissant was very crispy and that is how it is in Paris, France. The almond cream inside could have been a bit thinner and runnier which would have been better. I like it that the filling is a good portion instead of just having a dollop in it. I appreciate the generous filling but I couldn't really taste the salted egg that much. I also had their cream puff before and it was divine! Little Fox has quality baked goods and prices are quite fair unlike some of these bakeries in Richmond with so called French baking but charges an arm and a leg for such a small piece of pastry.
We will now continue to order from Little Fox Bakehouse for all our dessert needs.
Thank you so much, Little Fox, for such a wonderful and delicious...
