This place is absolutely horrible!. Ordered a chicken dish which seemed like it was okay, but once I took my first bite it seemed like it was cold. Called the server and I asked him if the dish was supposed be cold he said “no” and after touched one of the chicken pieces and said its not supposed to be like that and said it was frozen. So they pretty much served their customers uncooked and frozen chicken! HORRIBLE!!!!!. I went to go pay for the appetizer that we had, but the lady who was helping us at the register Tao printed out my bill and included the UNCOOKED chicken in the bill. I then said that I won’t pay for it since it was uncooked and I barely had any. She continued to fight and argue with absolutely no customer service skills. TERRIBLE customer service. Tao was really rude and mean. I should’ve really read the reviews about this place before since it seems like customer service is an issue here. Also Tao kept on saying that the chicken was supposed to be cold, but the server told me something else. It actually seemed to me that she was trying to fool me just because I’m Indian and she probably thought that I don’t know about Asian food. Food - For the price, there are much better options in Richmond. This restaurant seems to cater more towards tourists and shoppers. We ordered the beef brisket noodle soup and a couple of other dishes. The serving size was small, with little meat and we found it too salty. The soy chicken rice plate was tasty but we were served mostly bones. Overall, the food was not worth the price.
Service - We were immediately seated when we arrived around noon, and the place filled up to about half capacity 20 minutes later. We finished eating in about 30 minutes, and I got up to pay, but sat back down to finish our tea. That's when the server came by and and said "you need to leave because people were waiting". I asked the manager upfront if there was a time limit for customers, as we had only been there for a little over half an hour. She rudely told me to wait, seeming distracted while counting cash in her till. I was frustrated and told them it was rude to kick paying customers out without clear indication of a time limit, especially considering there were plenty of open spots left. This experience made us feel unwelcome.
Overall, I would absolutely not recommend this restaurant to anyone, and I won't be coming back to any of their locations. My money would be better...
Read moreOur family of 5 people visited this restaurant today. The food was above average. No complains. Service wasn’t great at all. We sat outside on their patio. Difficult to get any type of service at all. I had to go inside the restaurant to ask a waitress to come out and take our Order. Plates and bowls were stacking and piling up at our table. Definitely no assign waiters or waitresses were responsible for the patio. At the end, when we wanted to pay our bill. The waitress informed us that we had to pay 15% tip for 5 people. That was their restaurant policy and was written on their bill. Basically if you have 5 people dining at their restaurant regardless if you received any type of service at all. You are obligated to pay 15% tips based upon their restaurant policy. Now, I completely understand why we didn’t receive any service at all!! Why would you give us any service if it’s mandatory to pay a 15% tips. This is the first time I have ever encountered this type of service or restaurant policy before. I will definitely be calling the better business bureau in regard to this restaurant business...
