My husband and I went in to get a coffee. The barista was not helpful at all when he asked how to use these new cups. She simply told him “follow the numbers”. These cups are extremely hot when handling them and when he asked for a sleeve she made a comment “we are encouraging our customers not to use these-but if you have to have it-they are over there ” My husband made the comment that these cups are poor quality and she rudely stated “ just bring your own cup”. You are located at a beach town. And everyone here is from out of town and a tourist to the area not carrying around a travel coffee cup. It is also kinda interesting that your plastic cups used for Italian sodas are just that…..plastic. Yes made from 25% recycled material but these are just as bad for the environment than coffee lids. Also since you are so concerned for the environment you may want to revisit your chit system. They do create paperless versions using an iPad. Taking away the convenience of a standard coffee cup in a tourist beach town may be the least of your worries. Need to work on your customer service as we will not be back due the rude service we received. Just remember why you are in business. Customers don’t come in, you don’t make money. I read your other complaints and you don’t seem to care or understand this concept.

I want to thank you for opening during these hard times. I drive past this area everyday for work and just started coming yesterday. I'm blown away by the freshness of everything. The coffee has a great strong but luxuries after taste, the hot chocolate has actual chocolate in it, and the baked goods, oh man, moist and bursting with flavor. I'll continue to order through here whenever I get the chance, it will definitely replace timmys for me.

One of the few coffee shops in Sauble Beach located on Main Street downtown. Large outdoor patio. The coffee is fresh with no acidic aftertaste. I think they offer 4 different sizes in a biodegradable cup. The service is quick and friendly and good mix of visitors and tourists. My wife and I like going early morning and relax having a nice coffee. Way better than franchise places. Highly recommend. Trying the coffee.

I went in around 9:10 today (Sunday), someone came up from the back and said it would be just a minute. No offer to take my order or pour my coffee while I waited etc. There was two boys already waiting for their orders and no one else in the restaurant. I was for 10 minutes then asked if I could have a coffee while they finish what they're doing. No response. Gave it another 5 minutes and then left. Totally disrespectful of me and my time, I would give this place a 0 star review if possible.

Edit to respond to reply from owner

You're correct that it was the Shallow Lake location. I've had many good experiences in Sauble.

However, there is no excuse for leaving me with no response for that amount of time. If it was going to take over 15 minutes before they were ready to take my order, then that's what should have been said. That way I can decide how to...

I used to frequent Amici's often, but I'll be choosing other coffee options in Sauble Beach from now on for two reasons:

The coffee has become consistently weak. It's not just a one-time issue; it's routinely bland.

The new coffee cups are a disaster. They ruin the aesthetic of having a coffee, require a demonstration on how to fold them, and are not drinking-friendly. They are especially awful for cappuccinos or lattes, as you mostly get foam. It's a classic example of how poor product design can drive away customers and ruin the experience of having a nicely presented coffee. Quite honestly, I feel like I'm sipping from a baby sippy cup...just awful. These cups are best suited for french freys not coffee! I highly recommend management revert to the traditional cups that have worked well decades! Until then, go anywhere else for a proper...
