Nice location with friendly staff.

However, the desserts were less-than-desirable in flavour, though they looked great on presentation.

We purchased the parfaits, which looked scrumptious, so 5/5 on the presentation, but they were very dry - we would suggest they add more custard to help to better balance the dry with the moist.

We also purchased the Scottish shortbread; however, neither hubby nor I have ever tried "chewy" shortbread before, and there was an after-taste that was most unpalatable.

And as for the sticky bun (purported to be a Chelsea bun), it was like a giant bun (plain inside aka dinner roll) with some sticky drizzle and topping, and this meant the flavor existed only on the surface. The interior was devoid of any cinnamon or seasoning or anything except plain, white, dry bun.

We will say that our dog enjoyed the dog peanut butter bones we purchased for her to enjoy.

We spent $39.00 at this location, and were so sadly disappointed in our purchase.

The double whammy is the fact that as folks who live year-round in the area, we have waited patiently for Luscious Bakery to open for the summer and thus are greatly disappointed in the flavour and texture of the products we purchased.

And, for those mindful of such things, seeing flies landing on and remaining on baked products that have not yet been wrapped was...

Not sure if it's the quality of the product that's most impressive here or the customer service. Either of the two are well above what most would consider perfection! From the moment you are greeted, and continuing as you work your way down the line, till you get to the till, you are looked at directly and given a big smile from at least 5 different people as they ask how you're doing and offer their expertise in helping you choose what's best for you. And if that's not enough to get you in a happy place, you are privileged to have the most cheerful, positive, outstanding gentleman take your money. He literally has something to say to every single person that goes past him. He has a special place in his heart for First Responders and gives a free purple cookie to anyone he finds out about. An absolutely outstanding individual, truly! And then you sit down and enjoy the best bakery goods imaginable! I have had the pleasure to experience the great pastries that this extremely talented team make. Everything here is made with great quality and focus on the best ingredients, including lots of love and pride for quality. We will be eating here as often as we can when we visit Sauble Beach, I compare the quality of pastries to what you would eat in Paris and Italy. The staff is great, very friendly, great humour, and extremely hospitable. During our first visit we felt like locals and regular customers. Once in awhile you find a place that makes you feel welcome, where great food can be enjoyed, and a morning spent chatting is time well wasted.

Thank you for what you do, for smiling at every customer that walks in, thank you for your punny jokes, thank you for making my wife and I feel like cherished customers who matter to you, thank you for putting people first instead of profit.
