Akash Chaat House — Restaurant in Surrey

This place has gone completely downhill over the past few years. I used to always recommend this place to my friends and family because it was so good. However, now it is the complete opposite. I used to order the chaat without dahi in it and the servers used to question me so much over me not wanting it in the chaat and I could tell they were judging me hard because of this. I found this completely unprofessional, everyone has their own food preferences and just because one person likes it one way, doesn’t mean everyone has to. I stopped going here few months ago after both me and my friend felt so gross for the whole day after eating here.

I decided to give this place another chance today and the customer service was terrible. I asked for a straw when we sat down and did not get it until the food came. They brought out my brother and moms food out first and did not bring out my food till I had to ask for it. When I got my food, my mom and brother were already done eating. I’ve worked in the restaurant industry before and I know it can be stressful if the restaurant is busy. But all the food should be delivered around the same time, not when half of the table is done eating. This is also not the first time that this has happened. I feel all the servers here need to do a customer service training workshop.

I attended this restaurant for the first time today with family. We ordered various beverages and dishes and were so very disappointed. Our beverages were forgotten about and delivered at the end of the meal, after we had to followed up with one of our 3 waitresses. We had asked for accompanying condiments for one of the dishes to be on the side. The waitress had agreed as she took our order. Once the meal arrived the meal was fully mixed together with extra sauce on the side. I am not one to complain so I gave the dish a chance but it was very upsetting to my stomach, especially with no beverage to wash it down with. The waitress admitted to us that this was the kitchens mistake and she had noticed this but brought it out regardless and apologized to us. Then a male staff who said he was the manager spoke to us saying there is nothing he can do, this is the way they serve their food with no accommodations! If that’s the case then why did the waitress not state this when taking our order? As we explained how we felt this man did nothing but smirk, laugh and pass sarcasm. I went toady with so positive vibes and hope to eat something tasty appetizers or chat as the name suggests itself. But highly disappointed. List is long from customer service to food experience, Everything was cold. The waitress (Avneet) gave a cold look and welcome as I entered the door. Then she said, "Sit here and wait, someone will take your order. Then after almost 10 minutes of waiting, she came and took my order. I ordered golgappa and samosa and souses separately. And one take out order of paneer pakora. After almost 15 minutes of waiting, I got golgappa first. It tastes like stale dated and paani of golgappa was just not tasty looks like they just put tamarind and mint and nothing else. Then she brought a samosa plate with chana and chatney on it. She didn't even listen properly as I ordered it separately with no chana. It tastes like too much hot, and she admitted that they prepare it 2 days in advance. Size of samosa were tiny.Just felt I ate something worthless. I won't recommend visiting and even any item. If possible, I would be giving zero star.
