I had an unfortunate experience at Payal Chat House. While the food tasted good, the service left much to be desired. I called in my order for bhel puri and papdi chaat with bhalla at 4:38 pm on Saturday, October 7th, 2023, and was told it would be ready in 10 minutes for takeout.

However, when I arrived after 10 minutes, my order wasn't ready, and I was told to wait another three minutes. During this time, I even filled my water bottle and used the restroom, but no one seemed to notice or care about my presence.

Around 4:58 pm, I inquired again about my order, and they said it would take an additional two to three minutes. Finally, they informed me that they only had papdi chaat and not bhel puri. I was quite hungry by this point as I hadn't had lunch, and I asked why they hadn't informed me earlier about the unavailability. Unfortunately, there was no apology or acknowledgment of the inconvenience.

The service continued to disappoint when I paid for my order. Despite requesting a receipt, I was told there were no customer receipts, and I should take a picture of the merchant copy. To add to the frustration, there were no utensils or tissues provided in the package, leaving me to eat my papdi chaat with bhalla by hand.

I recall that the owner and an elder sister who used to be there before were delightful, with excellent customer service and a friendly attitude. However, based on my recent experience with the current staff, I don't plan to return to Payal Chat House in the future. It's disheartening to feel mistreated...

The staff were polite, helpful, and very attentive to our needs, ensuring that we had everything we needed without having to ask twice. My family especially loved the golgappe — crispy, tangy, and just the right amount of spicy — exactly how they should be. What really stood out was the consistency in taste and quality, which is hard to find in many places offering traditional Indian snacks. The atmosphere was clean and family-friendly, making it a perfect spot for both casual meals and special get-togethers. Not even want to give one star just because of one aunty working there. Not sure was she owner or what but she was so disrespectful. I went there today to eat something. I was waiting there. she said hi to me. then said just wait. afterwards another two aunties came she said hi to them and gave menu to them, she was kind of so polite with them. I was just looking like what’s going on I am waiting here before those two auntie. then I looked at her and she gave me a look back and said yes, i said I wanna do eat in. First of all she didn’t understand it. I repeated myself 3 times then she got it. And after that she said o I though u are looking for work. I said that’s why u didn’t served me first.
