First time at this location - I chose it because it was the highest rating in the area with 4.5 stars. I ordered the Birria Benedict. I was not asked how I wanted my eggs cooked. The English muffin was not toasted at all, so it was instantly soggy. The eggs were cooked hard. The overall dish was just ok, but it could have been great. I ordered a coffee as well. No one checked on me or offered me a top up. The tater tots were crispy and I liked the coleslaw. They need ketchup containers badly as I just got packets. I asked for salt and also just got packets. I’m not at McDonalds - salt & pepper shakers with a ketchup bottle should be on each table.
I noticed they don’t respond to any reviews, good or bad. That’s sending the message that they don’t care. If they firmed up their SOP’s, trained their staff better, and got to 4.8 stars+, their business would blow up. With a couple of simple tweaks to their model, they would see a massive increase in their business. I’m not sure...
Read moreWe dined in on a Sunday morning. No one greeted us as we came in and wasn't too sure of it's set up. However, as we approached the counter, there was a friendly face. Also, keep in mind that this is an 'order at the register' type of place. We ordered a variety of items off the menu. We ordered: chicken tacos, quesabirria, the potato tot hash bowl, birria eggs benny, croffles and churros. The food was okay. The dishes were a bit bland and nothing to rave about. I wasn't wowed nor was I disappointed. It was okay. My favourite was the tater tots. The sides should not be the star of the dish imo. The croffle was really dough-y, almost feeling undercooked. I'm never one to return my food, so we just didn't finish it. The churro was so so, there was too much sugar coating for me. I also ordered a London Fog and it was good. I really like the concept and menu. If you're in the area, I'd say try it out for yourself. Though I wouldn't make the effort to go back if I...
Read moreMy wife and I came here on a whim on a random Wednesday morning and it did not disappoint.
The parking sucks as there’s only 4/5 tight spots in front of the cafe but once you step inside the service was friendly, the menu was clear, and the coffee was great (we ordered a Spanish latte).
We asked the server on recommendations on the grande chilaquiles and we ended up with a plate big enough to feed for two. My wife and I have never had this dish before but we can confidently say it is one of our favourite brunch dishes now. It was well seasoned and had just enough variety of flavours to make us want to order another one.
We’ll...
