A&W Canada — Restaurant in Toronto

Horrible horrible horrible customer service. This was supposed to be a special treat for my kid’s 6th birthday.

Out of all the things in the food court, my kid settled on A&W. We ordered a “buddy burger with cheese” kids meal. Waited around at the pick-up counter for several minutes after placing order. They threw the order on the counter without notifying me. It had been there a while before I realized it was ours. Opened the box and noticed the granola bar was missing (aka— the “treat”). When I asked the employees about the missing item I was told “we don’t have any” — no apology or attempt to compensate us in any way… they treated me as though I was a nuisance for asking such a question. How can you charge someone full price when you are unable to deliver the entire product you advertise? Also the buddy burger came with ketchup only. It’s advertised as having ketchup, mustard and sautéed onions on it. My son barely choked it down. I have contacted A&W head office about this experience and am waiting to hear back. Will never be back to this...

This was easily in my top ten worst food eaten. I ordered a chubby chicken because I have ordered it before and it had become a favorite. The guy taking my order should've been a harbinger of things to come. He looked absolutely disinterested and looked like he was being held hostage at gunpoint to work there. The burger was so overcooked and dry it cut my upper gum when I bit into it. They just slapped a piece of lettuce and tomato onto it and called it a day. Rudest staff i have ever come across.. Asking 3 times and still no answer if yes or no. I visited the previous Saturday 23 I'd noV I cannot believe that a food store in a mall in Toronto on a weekend had only 2 ppl working.. seriously... I waited almost 30 min just for one burger. And 2 people working were also not worth as they were the rudest. The guy was still ok bt the girl..no manners at all... no answer, nothing... I have never seen such an atmosphere in a food restaurant in canada. I would never recommend this...
