The best meal you can get in the mall!
It’s been a long wait, but Villa Madina has finally reopened in the Dufferin Mall food court! This place has some great wallet-friendly options to get your belly-full. With their reopening they have got some on-going deals right now for wraps and platters totalling less than $15 (tax included) for a generous portion of food. The food itself is really quality and flavourful. When ordering you’ll be greeted by a showcase full of fresh greens and salad, as well as fresh beef and chicken shawarma behind the counter. A major point to mention is the cleanliness of this spot, a lot of the stores and restaurants in Dufferin tend to be dirty but the Villa Madina is really clean! Also to mention is the great staff and owners, they’re incredibly friendly and make sure you’re happy with your meal. I have seen them periodically switching their gloves as well as washing hands when necessary.

Read moreI went to the Dufferin Mall location on December 19, 2019 at 6:34 p.m. This was the worst fast food experience I have ever had. I tried to eat as much as I could but had to throw away almost half of the food I purchased. The food was cold and the chicken strips was full of fat. The rice did not taste good, sauce seemed past due. The potatoes were like hockey pucks and I did not get all the veggie items that were shown on the menu board.
According to the second guy that served the food I could only get one veggie item. My plate had none of those green and red veggies on the menu board picture. The second guy who served the food (slimmer guy with a slight beard) did not provide good customer service.
This was my first time at this restaurant and it was a dismal failure; a waste of $12. I left my contact information with the head office in Quebec before Christmas. They told me that someone would get back to me but no one did.

Read moreTERRIBLE EXPERIENCE – BEWARE This place feels like a scam. I ordered a regular chicken and beef shawarma wrap at Villa Madina, and the bill came out to $28, which didn’t make sense. When I questioned it, I found out the staff made a super wrap instead of a regular one because they were “out of regular wraps” — but they still tried to charge me the higher price. When I confronted the manager/owner, he acted as if he didn’t know, yelled at the staff, and initially refused a refund. Only after a lot of back and forth did he finally return the money.
On top of that, the food was terrible. The chicken tasted stale and had a fishy smell, and instead of the beef shawarma wrap I ordered, I got a mixed one. The meat again was stale and smelled off.
Overall, horrible service and even worse food. I wouldn’t recommend this...
