I needed a cake for my sister’s milestone birthday and on some pages of the Baskin Robbin’s website it says ice cream cakes should be ordered 24 hours in advance. Upon ordering, I received an error saying orders need to be placed 48 hours in advance. Now panicked, I first called the BR on King and Shaw and the employee was unhelpful, restating it needed to be made 48 hours in advance and that I could try walking in to pickup a cake. Before admitting defeat, I called this location and Sylvia was warm, helpful and willing to take my cake order as it was 30 hours ahead. My partner came the other day to ask about a custom cake, and they said to come the following day when the decorator was in. He came all the way back to make the order and was told they can make the custom cake no problem and charged them. Today he picked up the cake and not matching what he ordered and completely missing the main reason he bought the cake. He mentioned the issue and it was brushed off You dont charge somebody and tell them you can make the cake no problem if you can't, we would have ordered from another place. I ordered one scoop of my favorite ice cream in a cup at this location for the first time, and I was very disappointed with what I received. The scoop was so small and undersized, barely filling half the cup. As a long-time Baskin Robbins customer, I know what a proper scoop should look like, and this wasn’t it.
