I recently discovered a delightful bakery that caters exclusively to vegans, and I couldn't be more thrilled! This place has quickly become a favorite of mine, and I just can't help but share my enthusiasm. From the moment I stepped inside, I knew I was in for a treat.
First and foremost, let's talk about the donuts. Oh boy, they are simply incredible! The bakery offers a delectable array of vegan donuts that are a dream come true for any donut lover. Each bite is a burst of flavor, and the fact that they are vegan makes them even more impressive. The donuts here are undeniably good, and I find myself craving them time and time again.
Aside from the heavenly donuts, there is one particular treat that has won my heart: the banana loaf. It is a true delight! Moist, flavorful, and with just the right amount of sweetness, this banana loaf is a must-try. The bakery has managed to perfect this classic favorite, and every bite feels like a warm hug.
One thing I appreciate about this bakery is that everything they offer is vegan. It's fantastic to find a place where I can enjoy a wide range of treats without worrying about any animal products. They truly understand the importance of catering to a vegan lifestyle, and it's evident in the quality of their offerings.
While I personally adore the carrot loaf and banana loaf, I must mention that there is a variety of options available, including other delightful pastries and cakes. It's clear that the bakery puts a lot of thought into creating a diverse menu that caters to different tastes and preferences.
Additionally, the presence of numerous ice cream options makes this place even more enticing, especially for a weekend indulgence. There's something magical about pairing a delicious vegan dessert with a scoop of creamy vegan ice cream. It's the perfect combination that guarantees satisfaction.
All in all, I can confidently say that I am thoroughly impressed with this vegan bakery. The donuts, especially, are a standout for me, but the banana loaf and other treats are equally delightful. The fact that they offer an extensive range of vegan options is commendable and sets them apart from other bakeries.
I'm already looking forward to my next visit, as I can't wait to try more of their mouthwatering creations. Whether you're a vegan or simply someone who appreciates excellent baked goods, I highly recommend paying this bakery a visit. Trust me, you won't be...
Read moreI feel like the quality of Bloomer's has gone down. I've been coming here for years, and am a big fan of the establishment, despite its quaint, run down interior. But you're not going for that, you're going for the items.
However, the last couple of visits have been disappointing. The croissant sandwich is ridiculously dry and uninspired/ there's no sauce on the inside (even when you heat it up to melt the cheese). It's very meh for the price. I tried something else and it was either very dense and/ or dry as well. I feel like if you're trying to capture the interest of vegan and non-vegan alike, you need to try harder beyond just copious amounts of sugar (for the other items).
Today, I got the Sriracha cream cheese on a bagel and it was awful. The cream cheese looked like it had been thawed and then curled? But I know it's not actually doing that but the lumpiness gave that appearance. Next, it wasn't even spicy at all. In the past it would make my nose run from the best, in the best way, but this time it was like pink coloured "cream cheese" without the heat. I got my friend to try it who is a weenie/ has a low spice tolerance and they laughed because not only was it not even remotely spicy but it didn't taste like anything. Cream cheese should have a "sourness" to it. New vegan cheeses on the market are hitting that flavour profile, and you guys used to as well to some extent.
I feel apprehensive to return, or at the very least bring my non-vegan friends because it just adds to their argument that "vegan isn't that great", which sucks when you're trying to show them the...
Read moreI'm genuinely very upset and sad. I paid $142 for a 14' vanilla base cake, regular ingredients, no restrictions whatsoever and the base was denser than a stone; the ganache was flavourless and the icing's cheap sugary taste just made it a whole lot more jarring to bite into.
This cake was purchased for my own birthday and it's also my first time purchasing something from bloomer's since I heard such great things about it. It was genuinely very upsetting to receive this and serve it to my guests on my birthday. We barely ate the cake.
I requested for a monetary refund, whether partial or fully, since the quality of the cake was such a shock to me. I understand that the establishment is a "family business", but in an occasion like this where the cake was served in such a personal context, it's just plain disheartening for me as a first time customer.
I rarely ever celebrate my birthday but i figured it would be nice this year to treat myself, but this was disappointing and unfortunate. I wish they could be more understanding.
I don't think I'll be...
