My partner and I live close to Bubble Baby along the Queen's Quay and wish we discovered this bubble tea shop sooner!
We have tried multiple drinks so far and have absolutely fallen in love with their ratios. They aren't sickeningly sweet like how other local shops make their drinks; Bubble Baby really allows the flavors of the drink(like coffee, mango, taro, etc) to shine.
I personally love the Frothed Milk Bubble Coffee as it actually has a coffee bite to it rather than drowning in sugar! Their Taro Bubble Tea is splendid as well. Most places don't use real taro or do not blend the taro well when they use the powder... so you are left with gross chunks of chalky unblended taro powder at the bottom... not Bubble Baby! Their taro drinks are fantastic(and smooooth)!
My partner loves tapioca, but I am not the biggest fan. The owners always accomodate my "little tapioca" request and give me just enough to enjoy the chewy pearls before I get sick of it! Perfect amount. :)
We have yet to try the food, but it is definitely on our to do list!
We highly recommend this bubble tea shop! The aesthetic is super cute and inviting, the customer service is lovely and the drinks top tier! We have tried plenty of bubble tea places(from downtown Toronto, to Scarborough, to North York and back) and Bubble Baby has by far earned it's spot as our favorite in the city.
Any one saying they don't like it(like a previous review) has clearly never had quality bubble tea and prefer the over-saturated sickeningly sweet drinks that circulate Toronto and other hubs. Yuck!
Bubble Baby has earned two clients for life! Looking forward to our...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTried their signature Bubble Baby milk tea (strawberry, peach, and lychee flavour) and itās supposed to come with tapioca and lychee jelly. I paid $1 extra to get strawberry popping boba and it ended up being $9.61 (large). The drink itself is pretty good, unique tasting and sweet but as you can see from the pic they only added strawberry boba. No tapioca or lychee jelly. Very disappointed as I love tapioca. All the flavours are also all powders, not syrup or real fruit juice or anything. Also, service was kinda bad - the guy looked at me and then ignored me to start a drink when I was just there to pick up. I even said excuse me and got ignored. Then his wife or some woman came out and told him thereās customers, as a small line was forming behind me. Would go again because I like this flavour and itās really good, but I imagine how much better itād be with all...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy go to bubble tea place hasnāt been consistent lately so I gave this place a try and wow! Will definitely be ordering from here again. The brown sugar bubble tea is a bit too sweet for me (even though I got 20% sugar). The tapioca is perfect and Iām really picky about my tapioca. The mini mochis were too cute not to try. They taste really good too.
Update: ordered from here again and the tapiocas were in a huge clump. You couldnāt take a sip without a bunch getting stuck in the straw. You could tell some were from an old batch as the texture was way off but some of the tapioca tasted fresh. Even the colour of half the tapioca was an opaque dark brown compared to half that were more translucent...
