We took our 20-month-old to KidSpark at the Harbourfront Centre, and she absolutely loved every minute! It kept her engaged for a full 2.5 hours, which is no small feat at this age.
Some of the biggest highlights for her included:
The marketplace, where she eagerly pushed a shopping cart around and "checked out" her purchases.
The interactive floor display, which had her giggling and running around in excitement.
Dressing up as a vet and caring for an assortment of stuffed animals—from dogs and rabbits to snakes and bats!
Exploring the nature/camp space—while she didn’t have the patience to sit and fish, she loved putting on the life jacket and taking it all in.
Her pure delight at every activity was contagious and brought so much joy to us and her grandparents, who joined us for this adventure. We were visiting from New Brunswick, and this was easily a highlight of our trip. She was so tuckered out from all the fun that she fell asleep on the walk back to our hotel!

Read moreI will say, if you’re child is NOT under 4 - this will not be worth your money or time. It’s definitely just a large playground with toys that toddlers and babies could enjoy for hours. Which my 2.5 yr old daughter did! Many different stations to enjoy and play with, such as vet clinic (scanning the toys and seeing it through a screen), doctor clinic (this is probably the only “educational” part to this “science centre” pop up, supermarket, castle, toddler/baby foam area inside a tent, book reading, fishing, and a sushi/ice cream truck. So yeah this is more for toddlers. However during the week, to be aware of is the camp kids aged 7-12 are here at some point during the day like 10-12 or something like that. They are rowdy, noisy and not very watched for so they are jumping and running around. My daughter got scared and wanted to leave, so that was a...
Read moreSuch a fantastic spot for little ones! The Ontario Science Centre Harbourfront Kidspark is perfect for young children, especially as an indoor educational experience when the Toronto weather doesn’t cooperate. Our toddler had a blast exploring all three rooms, each designed to spark curiosity and hands-on learning. It’s a great way to introduce science in a fun and engaging way for toddlers.
Highly recommend for families in the city looking for something meaningful (and entertaining!) to do.
Hot tip: With a Toronto Public Library card, try to snag a pass through tplmaps and get free entry after 2pm -...
